I transmigrated into the world of Naruto, but when I looked up and saw my bright red hair, noticed a straw hat nearby, and found a katana in my hand… I understood.
I’m actually Red-Haired Shanks.
This must be the world of One Piece.
Alright then, I'll master Haki first—then set sail.

Apparently, the MC doesn't know Naruto, but he's a hardcore One Piece fan. That's okay, but not knowing and not having a shred of information is completely insane. Worse still, it's frustrating how the conversation unfolds and they seem to understand each other even though they don't really understand each other. Not mentioning the Marines or who the Shichibukai are or Whitebeard is very strange for a guy who's a One Piece fan.
Plot is very confusing, the whole story is built on multiple misunderstanding, it is as if MC and all ninja world natives have negativity IQ. MC and ninjas have completely different power system, even with that they can't understand the common difference. Ninjas are supposed to be smart, cunning and who are good at information gathering and observative , so it doesn't make sense.
Naruto: The Legend of Red Haired Shanks is a hilarious and refreshing take on the transmigration genre. The premise itself is already absurdly funny—the main character finds himself in the Naruto world but, because of his red hair, a straw hat, and a katana, he assumes he’s actually Shanks from One Piece. What makes it even better is that he has absolutely no knowledge of Naruto, leading to a constant stream of misunderstandings. One of the best parts of the story is how the MC's sheer belief in being in the One Piece world starts reshaping the Naruto world itself. With Shanks’ influence, the shinobi world gradually turns into a pirate world, and characters who were supposed to be ninjas end up acting like pirates. It’s a brilliant take on how a single misunderstanding can spiral out of control, and the results are both chaotic and hilarious. The humor is top-notch, especially in how the MC interacts with the world. Since he doesn’t know anything about Naruto, he misinterprets everything, leading to ridiculous yet surprisingly logical conclusions. Watching the serious Naruto characters get swept up in his nonsense adds another layer of comedy, making the story highly entertaining. Overall, this is a must-read for fans of parody and comedy. If you enjoy stories where misunderstandings drive the plot and create unexpected chaos, this novel delivers in every way. 霸气都练出来了,你说这是火影?
Bro I wanted an MC who was reborn into the Uzumaki clan with Shanks' strength and appearance but what I got was is a translated Chinese novel with an MC who doesn't know anything.
The misunderstanding thing was novel at first, but is very stale at this point. Also the original author clearly knows a little about Naruto but not a lot, as the timeline is a mess as you have a super important cannon character chilling with the MC for several chapters who at this point of the canon has been dead for decades. All in all the translation is fine, the story is not.
An awesome novel based on misunderstandings the MC thinks He is in the World of one piece, and everybody else thinks MC is a sage with a big plan, hilarity ensues. I dont get the Low Rating cause the fic is funny and fresh.
This is basically 'misunderstanding' the book. It has some funny moments though.
A very interesting plot, author might have to bs his way out of lot of things but the premise of the story is very engaging and the translation is also superb doesn't seem like AI and the GRA is also pretty good, keep up the good work TL
I find it flipping amazing the way he knows one piece but not naruto at all🤣. The way he talks with zabuza like they speaking about their word but it's so different, like those romantic movies where the lovers walk pass eachother, so close, yet so far lol. I cannot wait to see how this turns out.
this is funny at first but nobody really bothered to clarify anything, from the pronouns alone you can tell something's wrong and everyone just went with it. Also for almost 20 chapters it's just the land of waves mission characters without the MC at all.
The mc hasn’t figured out he is in the Naruto world even after 51 chapters
Honestly, I was reading this story but had to stop at chapter 27 just to drop a comment. Seriously, huge props! So far, this is by far the best Naruto/One Piece fanfic I've ever read. I’m literally jumping with excitement and laughing every single chapter. Massive congrats, author!
Entertaining and hilarious, despite having a little plot hole. Absolutely no poison so far, and mc has a functioning brain (most of the time)
As far as the misunderstanding trope goes, this fic does a pretty good job so far. The OP themes and the Naruto world seem to be tying together in a surprisingly natural way so far. The translation is great as well.
Worth a read. A bit silly with the MC going through a series of misunderstandings on the kinda level you see Tanya in Youjo Senki have, but I don't hate it. And the vibes are on point. The story is doing more than inserting Shank's powerset into the world of Naruto. It's inserting the fate of a New World Yonko. This character is going to change the entire fucken world. (*I assume anyway. Hasn't fully gotten there yet. He's still camping his first island lol)
