Not a terrible story. My biggest issue is the lack of development and the use of synonyms to says the same thing but differently a paragraph later. I dropped this for these two reasons. Yes, I understand why the MC is hesitant to take an action. I do not need it repeated more than once. I remember once chapter where the MC is hesitant to take action against a minor Antagonist in the Naruto storyline due to better trained ninja. This was explained, and I can understand. The following chapter, this was stated again, but explored even more, which I felt was a waste of time, and only served as a method to extend the word count, rather than move the story along. The Quality of writing is very good, and most other stuff is fine. Character is smart, at least from what I read, and very cautious. I did not get to the part where the MC becomes a Grey Night, I was just turned off by the lack of any development, and the repeating of the same thing a number of times.

author, I don't want to be rude, but I have to say this, you are relying on AI too much, may be chat gpt or something, this makes your characters souless, just driven machine with a mission or target, and this makes your dialogues or scenes of heart break, love or hatred, etc. very artificial, like they are just acting without the soul or the emotion. You need to review/proof read what you write and try to feel the emotions in your characters, not just deliver one line. The plot, or the idea or setting, is good, it is fresh. The character design is also good, but the lack of emotional depth kills it. the world background is quite satisfying. Bravo on that. Story development is also good. Credit due where it's due.

I really loved this fanfic, well for the starting chapters it was kinda boring in the wave arc but atleast mc is smart and moreover after the first 15 or 20 chapter in whi h the mc meets tsunade, it gets really interesting because mc transplants the gene seed, so yeah it was worth waiting for the gene seed transplant Also please author remove the repeating sentence, it's kinda gets irritating to read when mc explains why he shouldn't attack the geto I mean bro just repeated the reason 4-5 times but in the end yeah it's worth reading
