Autumn of Kings: Ashes and Embers

AUTUNM OF KINGS: ASHES AND EMBERS, is the first tale of Prince Finnian and Princess Luthera. Over the course of the story, they uncover sinister and corrupted branches of magic wielded by hidden enemies bent on destroying their kingdom.



The five kingdoms of the north have always been set apart by their magic. Thaegon, capable of changing the very nature of all things. Merridor, masters of the forces that govern life and death. Vilos, puppeteers who believe the greatest power one can have is control over the minds of others. Illis, granted influence over all creatures both mundane and magical. Kamrion, capable of molding magic in its rawest form.



An unstable peace has existed between the five northern kingdoms ever since the fall of the South. Fearing that this tenuous peace is about to come to an end a union of marriage is formed between the quick-witted Finnian Northguard of Kamrion and the poised Luthera Revena of Illis in hopes of quelling any potential uprisings.



On the night of Finnian and Luthera's wedding, Kamrion is attacked by a creature seemingly born from the most perverse and unnatural schools of magic. After the attack, Finn and Luthera hesitantly form an alliance, agreeing to combine their respective abilities and find the people responsible for the creatures' creation. Allied with them are Finn's siblings, Kaius and Gertrude along with the Veiled Ones, Kamrion's network of spies who operate separately from the affairs and influence of the crown.



Finn and Luthera become closer as they delve deeper into the origins of the creatures that attacked Kamrion and uncover layers of conspiracy and betrayal that threaten to bring about the end of Kamrion. They must navigate this new and dangerous landscape carefully while also striving to avoid drawing the attention of the equally revered and feared Celestial Order.
