Darkness Before the Dawn

Long ago, Rhodanthe, the breathtaking queen of Corinth, was cursed by the gods for a beauty that inspired obsession and blasphemy. Pursued by relentless suitors, she sought sanctuary in the temple of Artemis—only for her admirers to defile the sacred space in her name. In divine wrath, Apollo transformed them all: the men into crawling creatures, and Rhodanthe into a rose, doomed to bloom in silence for a century.



But fate is never kind nor finished. When the blood of the goddess Aphrodite—shed in grief over the death of her beloved Adonis—dripped upon Rhodanthe’s petals, something ancient stirred within her. For the first time in a hundred years, she felt. In her silent agony, she prayed not for life, but for release.



Persephone, still grieving and bitter from Aphrodite’s theft of Adonis, answered the call—but not with mercy. Rhodanthe and her cursed suitors were reborn as undead: beautiful, eternal, and damned. Vampires, forged not by darkness but by divine betrayal.



A thousand years of being damned as a vampire, she finds herself alone in the world. Her suiters have moved on and found their true mates, leaving her alone.



Under a Hunter's moon, she gets attacked by a werewolf. Close to true death, a beautiful dark haired woman with the most mesmerizing purple eyes saves her.
