In a world where power is written in blood, a child was born, without a bloodline. No name.No parents.
Only a cell buried in silence, and a voice that whispered, day after day,
“You should have never existed.” They said he was hollow. Cursed. But one day, a single drop of his blood moved on its own,And everything changed. The walls trembled. The chains broke. And the world listened. From the shadows rose the boy no one remembered, only to discover he was never ordinary, something far worse.
At first, I didn't understand much — the Pulses, the Bloodlines, the Gates, the Tremont... it all seemed mysterious and full of hidden secrets. Even now, I only grasp a part of it, but that's exactly what makes it so intriguing. As for the main character, honestly, I didn't like him at first because he relied a lot on others. But after Chapter 14, he became absolutely incredible. My favorite character, though, has to be the Voice (or Nyros). He's hilarious and clearly hiding so many secrets. I couldn't help but look forward to every scene he appeared in. The world-building is fantastic — truly one of the strongest points of the story. And to be honest, I couldn’t stop reading. After finishing one chapter, I immediately had to move on to the next. For now, I'll give this story a 4.2 , only because I still don't understand everything yet — but it has huge potential. Please continue, author. You can do it!
Shameless author here, giving a review to his own novel. Yeah, I did it. I gave myself 5 stars. Why? Because I know where this story is going. Right now, you’ve only seen the surface — a cursed child, a prison, a strange voice, the gates, the blood, and a lot— But that’s just the beginning. Blood of the Shadows is about to dive into a world that’s darker, deeper, and far more dangerous than anything Kael could imagine. Power comes at a cost. Every chapter pulls him further from the human he once was… if he ever was one. So if you’re here reading this, thank you. Stick around — I promise you haven’t seen anything yet. Don’t forget to support with a comment, stones, or a review. Thank you!
