“Some shadows are not cast by the absence of light… but by something deeper within.”
In the depths of a world torn apart by bloodlines, madness, and silent wars, Kael was born without a legacy, without a name worth remembering, and without the right to dream. Raised in the forgotten layers of society, where weakness is a crime and silence is survival, he learned early that hope is a dangerous thing.
But beneath the quiet, something stirs.
Not a voice. Not a memory. Something else.
Something watching him.
Calling him.
Something he cannot name—yet.
As secrets unravel and unseen forces begin to circle, Kael finds himself entangled in threads far older and darker than he ever imagined: cults that twist the past, families that tear the earth to bury their sins, and whispers that follow him into sleep.
This is not the story of a boy seeking power.
It is the journey of someone standing on the edge—between sanity and the abyss, between what is expected… and what cannot be escaped.
And with every step forward, the light fades… and the shadows grow.
At first, I didn't understand much — the Pulses, the Bloodlines, the Gates, the Tremont... it all seemed mysterious and full of hidden secrets. Even now, I only grasp a part of it, but that's exactly what makes it so intriguing. As for the main character, honestly, I didn't like him at first because he relied a lot on others. But after Chapter 14, he became absolutely incredible. My favorite character, though, has to be the Voice (or Nyros). He's hilarious and clearly hiding so many secrets. I couldn't help but look forward to every scene he appeared in. The world-building is fantastic — truly one of the strongest points of the story. And to be honest, I couldn’t stop reading. After finishing one chapter, I immediately had to move on to the next. For now, I'll give this story a 4.2 , only because I still don't understand everything yet — but it has huge potential. Please continue, author. You can do it!
As far as you are not going to end up adding romance Though he can indulge but with no string attach 👀 Am good
