After the Third World War shattered the Earth, the skies changed... and with them, so did humanity.
From the ashes rose magic, and with magic came the Celestia Dream, a phenomenon that awakened the ancestral memories buried in our blood.
Some are born from heroes. Others from monsters.
And some, like Vex Lugulband, are born into silence, with no legacy, no power, and no past.
But when a stranger looks at him like a forgotten prophecy…
When the Academy calls for someone like him…
And when something ancient inside begins to stir…
He’ll step across the threshold of the impossible.
Because sometimes, the world’s next chapter begins with the boy no one was watching.
I recently read this web novel and I really enjoyed it a lot. It reminded me of some other well-known web novels I’ve read in the past, which added a nice nostalgic touch to the experience. Even though there are only five chapters available so far, I’m already eager to continue the story and see where it goes. This is a very strong start, with a unique setting and concept that I haven’t come across before, despite having read many web novels. It really changes how I approach the story, since I’m so used to seeing similar plots and contexts repeated. On top of that, there’s great character development already, with layers to uncover and things to learn about each character. I’m really looking forward to what's next!
This is hands down the best thing I’ve ever read—no exaggeration. The only story that edges it out, just barely, is Shadow Slave, which holds a special place in my heart for its incredible worldbuilding, gritty atmosphere, and the raw intensity of its character development. But this? This came so close, and in some ways, it even surpassed it. The writing was gripping from start to finish, with a plot that kept me hooked, twists I didn’t see coming, and characters that felt so real I was thinking about them even when I wasn’t reading. It’s rare to find something that can evoke that kind of emotional pull, that kind of immersion, and this absolutely nailed it. I didn’t want it to end. If you’re looking for something unforgettable, something that’ll stick with you—this is it.
