Reading all these reviews praising the translation quality is mind boggling. The translator can’t even manage to have the character names be consistent , sometimes it’s Chinese names out of the blue, sometimes the name of a family member will be used instead. Pronouns also suffer from inconsistency a character can go from being female to male every few chapters, add this to the name problems and it can become genuinely confusing. While I don’t think these problems were plaguing the story from the start the fact that they have been growing more and more frequent as the story progresses bodes ill for the overall reading experience.
