## Hazel's POV
The car glided smoothly through the afternoon traffic as I sat beside Sebastian, my injured leg carefully propped up on a cushion he'd insisted on bringing. Every bump in the road sent tiny jolts of pain through my knee, but I tried not to let it show on my face.
Sebastian's hand reached across the space between us. "Are you comfortable?"
His fingers hovered near mine, an unspoken question in the gesture. After our earlier revelation, everything felt different—charged with new meaning. I hesitated only a moment before sliding my hand into his.
"As comfortable as I can be," I admitted.
His thumb traced gentle circles on my skin. The simple touch sent warmth spreading through me that had nothing to do with pain.
"We're almost there," Sebastian said, his voice low and reassuring.
