The Chronicles of Kyriel: An Apprentice Swordsman

The kingdom of Geboku, a world located at the crossroads of wonder and fantasy, where the boundaries between reality and imagination are perpetually blurred. It is a small kingdom in an infinite universe, where the inhabitants dream of obtaining the more than expensive title of Master swordsman, a distinction that confers the approval of one of the Six Divine Kings and thus allows them to join one of the twelve primordial cities. This kingdom is a place where every living being, from birth, is qualified as an aspiring swordsman, but where social class determines aspirations. Since its birth, the universe in its infinity, is entirely governed by an energy as mysterious as it is majestic, an eternal energy that is, has been and will be, an energy that circulates through all the channels of existing living beings, dead and even non-existent beings in their entirety. This energy, which is the very substance of the universe, is called: ART. It is a force that animates all that exists, a power that shapes the destiny of beings and worlds. It is in this kingdom, home to fifty six cities and in a more than modest family of eleven people that the young Kyriel St Patrick. The St. Patrick family consists of Marie St. Patrick, the mother, Grégoire St. Patrick, the father, Nicole, Chloé, Bertrand, Clé, Benjamin, Dylan, Kyriel, Sam, and Audrey St. Patrick, the youngest of the family. Thus, young Kyriel, dreaming of becoming a master swordsman, will face trials as dangerous as they are unpredictable, overcome obstacles, and brave the impossible to finally free his family from the precariousness due to their social status. But then, he does not yet suspect that the unknown has something extraordinary, as extraordinary as the Gods themselves. And it is this aspect of the unknown that makes it dark and terrifying. The mystery surrounding the universe of Geboku is a veil that hides unfathomable secrets, truths that could change the course of history.
