Synopsis

The various races of the land of Onterrath have always struggled for supremacy. These wars caused the annihilation and extinction of many races. The battles for hegemony lasted until the day when greed and desire led to the creation of a portal to the Rift.

The Rift sent forth hordes of creatures to destroy Onterrath. No one was prepared for the invasion, and this brought about the demise of nearly every living being on the continent. The survivors picked themselves up and fought back. They rebuilt the world while strengthening themselves for the eventual Rift wars.

Follow Liam's journey after he returns from the Rift and becomes the savior of Onterrath.

Really pulsating opening. It is a sign of a great writer when they can draw the reader in with just one chapter. Hats off to the author for that. The story kicks off with a massive battle scene and protagonist and his forces are up against the odds fighting a beast. Great action, really keeps the pages flying by. Writing quality is top notch. Can't wait to see where this goes.

First time on webnovel I assign 5 stars for writing quality. But this piece should be published officially. The beginning just grabs your gusts, and doesn't release it to the end. There's only 3 chapters at the moment, and I can still feel the stress of the battlefield. An amazing piece, wow !

Beautifully written story with sparse grammatical errors, compared to a lot of books on this site. The first chapter pulls you in with a vivid description of a battle. The World seems vast with a lot to learn about it. Small but important written details bring the characters to life and make them likable fairly quickly. The only downside, for me, is the bombardment of multiple characters right at the beginning of the story that creates a bit of mayhem at first. It takes time to get used to but once done, you're in for a good ride. I think this book seriously deserves more attention because it has the potential to surpass a lot of the generic stuff I'm getting tired of reading on this website or elsewhere. Good job and good luck with the long road ahead. Y.R.

Beautifully thought up imaginative work of art. You make literature seem so easy and description so sleek. I can't even get offended by your book being this good. A 5-star rating is what you deserve, a 10-star if it could be that much. I'm captivated truly by your story. Thank you for feeding my eyes with such delight. Keep it up author

I commend you author! This is one of those books where it definitely grips you tight on your seat as you feel the tension, action, and the different situations the characters went into. It's like I can feel myself in your world, feeling what they feel, seeing what they see with mouth hang wide open. Wow. Just wow. I'm utterly lost for words to this one. Great job with this author! Hats raised to you! Keep up the good work! Hope you keep updating for more

With flowing, crystal-clear descriptions, I found this novel to be simple to imagine yet gripping, especially the battle scenes. Not only that, but the dialogues between the characters seamlessly weaved itself into the chaos unfolding, leaving little, if any, additional alterations to the plot. Grammar— flawless, even I wish for this kind of clarity sometimes. XD While on a side note, I did feel as if there was less usage of some sensory senses, such as smell or touch, which might have improved readers’ immersions. But do take this advice with a grain of salt, these itty gritty details may not be necessary in your work at all. Overall, a splendid work, Author ! Keep it up !

Aaaaa this is a really great book! :D The writing is absolutely amazing, and I really really reaaally love how the author describes things. The battle scenes are especially breathtaking! :D I felt like I was watching an anime lol I also really love the characters because they felt real, with personalities that we can see :D I really like how the author mostly shows and not tell, which is a reaaally big plus for me hehe! :D Also, the amazing thing about this book is the world-building tbh. Like, in a gruesome way. I really like how there are a lot of casualties and it's just a really horrifying place to be in general, because, well, it's kinda wartime :D Me really appreciate realism in novels like this hehe! <3 Also, I really like non-attractive charatersssss because not everyone is attractive lol, realismmm :D Amazing work, author! <3

The author shows great promise with just his one chapter to show. It was action-packed and amazing! This is needed to be recognised by its wonderful narration. I can see that the author still has room to grow and It will be awesome when he matures!

This is an amazing piece of work! The book is engaging from the very first chapter, bringing you into a completely new world. The characters and scenery are vividly depicted, making it seem as if I am watching a movie. The only downside are the first 6 chapters where a lot of characters are introduced. I persisted through them and it was worth it. Amazing work. This book deserves a lot of attention.

The words used are really vivid and descriptive. The gorey style has hooked me on. Characters are very well written and each one of them have a major role to play. The story is amazingly unique. If you hang through the first 6 chapters (which, according to me, are equally amazing) you'll be definitely glued to this novel. Loving it!

Really impressive work. Liam seems to be an ordinary MC of Webnovels and animes, but that's how most stories are. but what makes me like this novel is the side characters such as those from the army and I also think the Rift is not that dangerous if you look from the perspective of someone who lived there.

I love the way the author describes the situation around the characters. It allows for me to be able to imagine the story in my mind and gets me immerse. A lot of information gets thrown in early so it took a bit of time to figure out the who and what but to me that's a plus as it allows me to grasp more on earlier on.
