Thya D’Arcy is no ordinary noble. Cursed with the ability to see how and when people will die with just a glance into their eyes, she’s spent her life shrouded in guilt, fear, and isolation. When she foresees the slow, inevitable death of her best friend, Avyanna—crown princess and heir to the Maximillian throne—Thya is paralyzed by the knowledge. Bound by her curse and unable to change fate, she keeps the truth to herself, even as Avyanna’s condition worsens.
A year later, Avyanna is dead. And Daisuke, her fiery, vengeful younger brother, ascends to the throne as Crown Prince. He knows Thya was hiding something. He suspects her silence cost his sister her life. His once-mocking disdain turns to ruthless hatred as he plots his revenge. Meanwhile, Thya retreats from the world, burdened by the torment of her gift and consumed by self-loathing.
But peace isn’t an option when the Imperial Crown Princess Trials are announced. Daisuke pulls strings to ensure Thya is summoned—forced to compete for the very throne she never wanted, knowing full well the arena will break her. Terrified of dying in the lion’s den of political intrigue and vengeance, Thya does the unthinkable: she looks into her own eyes in the mirror to see her fate.
Her vision? Her own death by Daisuke’s hand, a dagger buried deep in her chest.
Trapped in a game she can’t escape, Thya is thrust into the Imperial Palace—her life now a ticking clock. She must survive the Crown Prince’s wrath, navigate cutthroat politics, and somehow protect herself from the cruel twist of fate she’s seen. Yet, in the shadow of hatred, something unexpected sparks. Because when emotions run as hot as theirs, hatred and love are closer than anyone dares admit.
And for Thya and Daisuke, that line might just be fatal.
This book is an absolute gem! I've read hundreds of webnovels(not exaggerating) and this one has RESONATED with me. For some reason I feel myself connected with everything that the female lead is going through eventhough I think I've never experiencedanything that is even close to everything she's going through. There are many novels that would make one think of their endings even so deeply that you might end up dreaming about them, one might ugly cry over a book but that has never happened to me. Out of all the book that I've read I can confidently say that I've finally found the book that I like the most. The female lead should be protected at all costs, and I hope that trash of the crown price gets yeeted to another planet, and I would hate it if he doesn't go through extreme pains later!!!!
I am flabbergasted by how much I loved this, honestly, sincerely, I resonated with Thya and with her pain, and ugh, there was point I found myself bawling my eyes out, and I rarely cry with novels like this. Girl, why are you causing Thya so much pain????? I'm desperately in need of her having a happy ending!
This novel is just amazing i love the book so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘😘
Love the story and i hope you can give Thya the best ending you could make for the compensation of pain the other give her ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm not sure if I want more of this in order to cry more or if I want to put it somewhere deep in my heart and only take it out every now and then to cry to.
