Synopsis
After a long slumber, Zhou Yi wakes up in a wasteland era. He discovers that the new humans, to avoid the daylight supremacy of the Guangna species, only dare to come out at night, meekly whispering in the darkness and scavenging for trash. Exasperated, he questions how humans could have deteriorated to such a state. Lamenting that each generation seems to be worse than the last, Zhou Yi decides to show them the ways of the older generation. Embarking on a quest to transform the wasteland, he aims to rebuild the lost splendor of humanity.

so a catastrophic event happened and most of the world was destroyed, some humans hid in shielded bunkers underground and survived, the mc was not one of them and died. The intense waves of energy caused mutations, causing plants and animals to mutate, electronic devices came to life, and the mc to his shock died and became a ghost. The mc inhabited a lion statue while he got strong enough to feed a body, and got a system, and found out when mutant's die they drop energy orbs which he as a ghost could absorb and transfer. 24 years has past since he died, now he wants to rejoin human society. it's about China so lots of Chinese words and items. example BYD, is a Chinese car, a sentient TV enjoys playing Journey to the west.
This was a pleasant surprise. This is a different type of post-apocalyptic story. Humans, monsters, inanimate objects and everything seems to have evolved in a different way. MC is of the old era, somehow able to continue to live. Kind of jealous of his body, really. No need to eat or breathe, lucky bastard. His system is the silent type, with very basic attributes. It's interesting how the world uses Live Seeds, life energy and death energy to continue on living. I didn't realize that I'd enjoy this kind of sci fi story.
