In a world fractured by conflict and haunted by shadows of the past, Kokushibo—the first Upper Moon demon—meets his end, only to awaken in a new life. Reincarnated as Crimson, a child born into a different family, he carries the memories of a past he cannot escape. Burdened by centuries of guilt yet indifferent to the present, he resigns himself to duty—until an unexpected bond with his newfound family begins to thaw his hardened heart. As he struggles between the weight of his past and the weight of the new life, Crimson must decide whether he will remain shackled to his former sins or embrace the possibility of peace.

To be honest I don’t really know much about RWBY. The only reason I picked up this was Kokushibo. This fic is a solid 7/10. Solid world building, Decent pace, Good character interaction. Only problems I feel are that Kokushibo isn’t really portrayed correctly. Reading about him Laughing, Joking, and doing other similar extroverted things is odd to me since Kokushibo has been consistently shutting off his emotions for 600+ years, becoming a cold hearted killing machine. It’s only after his defeat does he show anything beyond what was listed earlier. His social interactions should be a struggle imo since, he hasn’t interacted in a friendly manor in literal centuries with human, him becoming adept at this is unrealistic portrayal.
i rarely make reviews, know that it is good when i make one
PEAK, PURE CINEMA. I love this fic and what author did on Kokushibo. This fic got better and better as the time goes on, just let it cook and read, and as the chapters go you'll realize how peak it is.
Haven't read this yet. The description of novel tells me nothing at all. Why would I waste time trying to figure out what this novel is about? That's what the description is for. Please author make an actual description of novels from here on out, maybe you will get more readers.
This story is great. I'm enjoying how the characters are written and can't wait to read more.....................................................................
I have no words. Out of the myriad of fanfics I’ve read, this reigns as one of the best stories I’ve ever laid eyes on. It was sent to me in a Discord by someone claiming it to be insanely good, and now I know that claim was an underestimation. Crimson has a great character, with obvious flaws, yet just as powerful good qualities. From chapters 1-55, I could say it was definitely a good story. But from chapter 56 and onward, the story just skyrocketed to unbelievable heights. Immaculate storytelling, foreshadowing, and detail. I’m at a loss for words. Never have I written a review on this site before. That streak ends now. Congratulations. This has become one of the top 3 best fanfics I’ve ever read, and I’ve never even watched Demon Slayer.
One of the best Rwby novels I ever read thank you so much 😊 …………………………………….. …………………………………….. …………………………………….. …………………………………….. …………………………………….. …………………………………….. ……………………………………..
I like it, haven't watched/ read demon slayer so can't comment about that to much but like the pace and MC. Looking forward to how it progresses, also really hopes Ozpin gets it. Keep it up.
If you're going to read it expecting Kokushibo, it's better not to read it, but if you're expecting something else, give it a chance.
Like I said in my previous review , I don’t care much for rwby or demon slayer but this fanfic has great character moments and even greater character development and is a very good read , I have to say there’s huge potential for this fanfic to be one of the best on this website if the author keeps the writing quality at this level 👍 On a personal note : This book’s author ✍️ 📖 has been on a generational run lately , author dropped 10 fire 🔥 chapters in less than 24 hours so I changed my 4.5 stars rating to to a 5 star ⭐️ rating for all that effort that the author put in on this 🗿
I don’t like rwby and I don’t care much for demon slayer but this is a good written story with great character development and I hope it stays at the same quality or even get better .
this is a masterpiece that I greatly enjoyed reading
It's just so peak, so wonderfully written. beautiful ending.
This is a rollercoaster of emotions, it made me laugh, cry, contemplate life, cry some more, laugh some more, I even shat myself somewhere in the middle, and then I fuckin died. 10/10 would read again
108 chapters read baby - Pros - Amazing writing, the early chapters were absolutely amazing, and the climaxes were written beautifully. There were so made connections that were made even from the start that held impact in the future. A lot of character development, Kokushibo trying to deny his demon self, and moving past it. All the while failing to, only making him more human than demon. Character exposition, characters like Ironwood aren’t displayed as stone faced idiots that are obstacles. Even the author admits the characters in the story are pretty dumb, and is able to improve that. - Cons - Kokushibo is the Deus Ex Machina of the story. Most problems and fights are completely finished by Kokushibo. While he is the strongest, it should be expected that others should carry their weight when he isn’t around. I understand that having others fight alongside Kokushibo counts, but they’re barely shown holding meaningful impact when Kokushibo’s achievements outshines them. Sections of the story seem extremely off. Kokushibo seemed like more of an emo racist at Beacon. While this is eventually fixed, I know a lot of people stopped there because he was not acting like a 500 year old demon. There was also a whole section that was merely reactions to Kokushibo, which probably could’ve been written better, because it felt like copy and pasting a whole chapter. tldr; good writing, op mc, turned emo then good
