Kiyota Kurobane was known around Shūtei High as the ace of the basketball team with sharp reflexes and the kind of explosive energy that could turn a game around. But talent breeds pressure. In a brutal season match, his team collapses under the weight of their dependence on him, and the game ends in defeat. Bitter and worn down, Kiyota storms out alone, duffle bag slung over his shoulder and basketball thudding rhythmically against the darkened city streets.



Stopping by a dimly lit vending machine tucked into an alley, he slips in coins and grabs a cold coffee. He leans back against the cool wall, taking a long sip and letting the silence settle in. That’s when she appears.



A girl in Shūtei High uniform. She looked refined and cute. She steps up and selects a coffee of her own. After a while of silence and slurping something about her feels...off. Her eyes, maybe. Or the way her gaze lingers just a second too long.



'Maybe she likes me?' Kiyota thought.
