When Jiang Shiqin arrived at the Distant Lands governed by the five great sects, he was forcefully pulled into the underlying currents of history. In a time when righteousness obscures murder and friendship is worth less than a cup of wine, an individual's strength is insignificant.
Life favours no one.
The story takes us to the ancient Chinese world where there were competition, disagreements, struggles, and even battles among 5 sects triggered by the visit of a stranger. Loves, hates, friendships were revealed. The way the author described the characters’ interactions is excellent. Love it!
nice attention to details, but could use more updates - especially recently. thank you to the author regardless, really enjoyed the plot so far.
This is a review of the first eleven chapters. The story is about political intrigue set in an ancient cultivating world. There are also transmigrated characters. The main character is the mysterious Jiang Shiqin who works for one of the princes. He was sent to the “distant lands” to investigate the relationship between a rival prince and one of the main cultivation sects there. Primary and secondary characters are well described. Attention to details persists to the setting. The plot starts out slowly but picks up the pace after seven chapters. This is not a light read; instead, understanding the details drastically changes how characters are viewed.
