[2025 WSA ENTRY]
Darin was just a simple blacksmith. He wanted a quiet life, a steady job, and maybe enough money to fix the hole in his roof.
But fate had other plans.
Thanks to an unfortunate mix of coincidences, a ridiculous prophecy, and some very excitable villagers, Darin suddenly finds himself labeled as the reincarnation of an ancient, all-powerful Dark Lord. Now, knights want to slay him, cultists want to worship him, and political schemers want to manipulate him, all while he desperately tries to convince everyone that he is just some guy.
With misunderstandings piling up faster than he can escape them, Darin must navigate a world that insists on making him its next great villain… whether he likes it or not.
A comedy of mistaken identity, accidental power plays, and one very confused protagonist, I Was Mistaken for the Reincarnated Evil Overlord is a lighthearted fantasy adventure where every denial only makes things worse.
[NO HAREM]
Greetings dear readers! Shameless author here. This is my experimental dive into the comedy genre, and let me tell you, it's absolute chaos. You ever wonder what happens when an average guy gets mistaken for the most powerful evil overlord in history? No grand powers. No dark armies. Just one very confused blacksmith and a world that refuses to believe he’s not their legendary villain. This novel is a glorious disaster of misunderstandings, ridiculous logic, and an MC who just wants to live a quiet life but keeps accidentally conquering everything. From cultists who worship his “hidden genius” to knights who challenge him based on nothing, Darin’s journey is one long scream of frustration—and I am here for it. What to expect: ✅ A completely unwilling protagonist forced into being a Dark Lord. ✅ Idiots everywhere who think every accident is proof of his power. ✅ A legendary chicken-based combat strategy (Yes, this is a thing). ✅ Zero face-slapping arrogance—just pure comedic suffering. ✅ An MC who spends half the novel trying (and failing) to run away. This is not your standard power fantasy. This is pure, unfiltered nonsense, and I hope you enjoy every second of Darin’s pain. This is my first attempt at comedy, so let me know what you think! If you love misunderstandings, satire, and a protagonist who just wants a refund on his life, this might be the novel for you. Enjoy the madness. 😈🔥
Currently at chapter 53 where the first arc ended. It has some strong points and weak points, my problem sometimes is how the mc complains alot but I guess its the charm of this novel, some jokes are a bit overused sometimes but its been fun. What I find a little bit unnecessary is the romance, romance is not fit for this kind of style considering this is the first time the author is adding a mix of romance, but some key takeaways why I never dropped this is how quirky and funny characters like greta, the stranger, and vincent, I'll also add the king and his pets. Some characters are pretty unique on their own way. At the beginning it started slow but it gets to develop further on when he reached the capital. I just hope we can know more of his past because this shenanigans started quick on chapter 1. Overall, I'll give it a 4.6/5.
Found my cup of tea, literally.... every side character in this novel love tea😭. Welp this novel had been a great read, especially how fricken funny how the mc fumbles everything in his favor which is may or may not be good for his mental health 🤣. There's some minor issues but good thing the author listens properly and fixed his mistakes and improved on the ongoing chapter.
Ok I take back what I said before, I was wrong about the pacing being slow. The development turned realy interesting real quick, I should've waited for more chapter.

This is pretty good if you're here to laugh or just pass the time, well since it caught my humor I'll give it a 8/10.
I got turned into a newt? I got better! vibes, super funny
I do have some mixed feelings about the pacing. The humor is great, but there are moments where it leans so heavily into the joke that it risks stalling the plot. I found myself wanting just a little more progression, some moments where the story pushes forward rather than circling back to another misunderstanding. It never drags too much, but with a story this long, I wonder if it will keep up the momentum. But beyond just being funny, there’s a cleverness to the way everything unfolds. The misunderstandings aren’t just random, they’re layered, building on each other in ways that somehow make perfect (and completely ridiculous) sense. The way the world reacts to the protagonist feels natural, which makes it even funnier. There’s something satisfying about watching a character struggle against forces bigger than him, especially when those forces are just people being incredibly, infuriatingly convinced of something that isn’t true or maybe true🤔.
