Modern World Warlock

Shameless author review here: This is a story I've been wanting to write for some time. It’s mostly an action/comedy/drama with a bit of romance sprinkled on it. The power system is fleshed out and slowly revealed throughout the novel, and there are lots of mysteries waiting to be uncovered. Dante, the MC, is a polite and honest warlock. Since he is able to tell a person’s intentions by simply looking at them, he can easily tell who to trust without exchanging words with them. Still, he has quite a battle-hungry, sadistic side to him, especially when fighting demons. He also likes to crack jokes sometimes, so he is not your fully stoic MC. My main inspirations were Dante’s Inferno (PS3 game), Dead Mount Death Play, World of Warcraft, and a few other series. The most frequent question people have asked me is: “Is this a harem?” A: Not really… Kind of (?) There is only one female lead, but there are other characters who admire the MC. I have TONS of cool things that I want to write in this novel that I’m excited about, so hopefully, you give it a shot. I’ll use this review to answer any other questions. I'm honestly hooked. The premise is familiar but also different enough from most novels so it feels pretty fresh. The characters feel natural and the dialogues are quite good. (Zac is very funny I like him) I think the author improved their storytelling a lot from their previous novel. Good work

Yeah no I don’t like being mean but the lack of bad reviews means no one is speaking up I couldn’t go past the 6th chapter as I there was nothing redeeming enough for me to try We got an OP old af warlock that deals with demons? Who is naive af. Bruh Now the author will tell you it’s cause he’s got this bullsht radar for trustworthy people But I still can’t get behind spilling all of your secrets in the first 2 minutes of meeting 2 girls. “Oh I’m a warlock” “What’s that? Ah I can do magic with umbra and make deals with demons?” “Oh this? This is my destro spell that destroys things” Like cmon The cop out is crazy You can’t skip building character relationships by using bs like magic trust I came in hoping for an op warlock with a strong head on his neck I got a op warlock with a thick skull instead Did I get what I wanted?

The story is very interesting, I love the characters, I think the writer has developed the novel very well, I love it. I would like to continue reading to see what happens in this fantastic story.

Its a really good Story with nice Charakter Development and No writing flaws. I got so hooked by it, that i bunk read all available chapters in one go. Definetly give it a read, its worth it .

This is one of the best novels I’ve read so far, the story and background is amazing also I’m sad now. Read it.

I've read a lot of novels on here and while this is not one of the best I have to say it is solid. it's not over the top or crazy and has good explanations for the power system and setting up the fantasy world as a whole. The main thing holding it back though is it's kind of bland I know that's not really going for stars in terms of its development or messaging, but it has a very blunted tone giving generic solutions to problems. Not that they don't fit in terms of plot, but so much seems like coincidence it pushes the suspension of disbelief a little too far. All in all it is a good read, but it is not one of my favorites.

I read a lot of novels on this site and others I have to say that a big problem many novels have is the fact that they just not well written and that they have really boring standard protagonist no edge and no realism either just a bland archetype to fill a role this is not one of those stories. I can say that I've read better on this site considerably better in terms of the epic storytelling and in terms of the slice of life nature as well but I have to give the author credit or credit is due this is a well-written book, this has a cohesive and entertaining story although power scaling's a little odd in some places, and this is the story I want to continue reading well there are many others that I would pick above it in terms of quality it is by far definitely above average.
