The Light In-between

"When I was human, much like you, there was this word from my home. It was not my mother tongue but it can't be translated by any other language."



"Well what is that word?"



"Komorebi"



"And what does it mean?"



"The light! It means the light that filters in-between the leaves of trees."



"That's beautiful!"



"Isn't it?! I'm glad you think so too."



"Then we will call you Komo. To grow large enough to shade and shine down this light."



And at that moment I swore I would protect this strange person, my first precious friend in this new world. As a plant I'm not sure how, but I'll do it.
