Food Wars: The Golden Hands

Meh. Writer who asks for money every chapter, but can't be bothered to even look over and edit his own work for mistakes. Why anyone would support such a lazy person, I really don't know. Mediocre story, full of forced plot and unrealistic behavior. If you tried harder, you could probably do decently enough, but this is not it.

Dropped since fanfic is focusing less and less on cooking and involving unrelated things like the mafia into a cooking series.

It’s okay. Stared off good but it started to slow down. The cooking feels a bit bland and repetitive. While still a good read if your bored not a book I would recommend to buy.

This story is okay. Grammar is better than most other fanfics out. But it could be better when it comes to pacing and description. Author has a tendency to get lost when writing which could be prevented slowing down when writing or rereading what he just wrote. Also since this is a food novel being more descriptive when mc is cooking or others are trying his food would help improve quality of the story. Overall okay but has room for improvement

Second SnS I read, It is good the MC a chef among chefs died then reincarnated to a special mother meeting new people, he realized he wants to lay back on this life when the plot begins and so the story begun too. When cooking half-assed it said his skills rival of joichiro and other top chefs, hmm seems If someone makes him serious, pretty sure the client will experience not food s*x anymore but f*cking drugs. So It’s safe if he keeps his half-assed cookings, don’t want people kidnapping you and make you food until you die.

The MC is a bit arrogant and I feel he is overestimating himself because there is no storyline and the author didn't explain on how good he is in cooking he just said he is the best there is and that's it but overall I like on how the story is going I just hope the MC stop holding back and show how good he is.

Yeah the story starts out well enough, but the further you read the more forced the plot becomes. The author has a hard time balancing an MC who is OP at both cooking and in the mafia world with the characters of food wars. E.g. a penalty of never being a chef again for a school test when the MC isn’t actually working as a chef in the test but a teacher/restaurant manager. Or the head of one of the top 10 mafias in the world (our MC) accepting a shokugeki where he will be expelled if he looses as he was threatened with an assault charge for grabbing Azami’s collar. The ******* being forced to unreasonable levels and conflicts occurring from unrealistic events is what made me stop reading. The best part about this novel is the romance by far but the author misses so many opportunities to expand on it with intimacy and conflict between himself and his multiple lovers. Instead the intimate moments rarely happen and the emotional conflicts are resolved easily and timely with most of both happening outside of the narration. Additionally, asking for money or listing personal events at the beginning of each chapter while including entire chapters to argue with the readers about your plot choices is a bit off putting. It breaks the immersion between chapters and there are better places to have such discussions.
