[Warning: Contains Mature Themes That May Be Disturbing]
In this cosmic horror, witness Fausto's odyssey through the dark labyrinth of the human heart and discover the cause for the strange happenings taking place in Saint Christopher's Ridge.
Recently heartbroken and looking for comfort, Fausto Merlo meets a childhood friend at their local bar for a couple of drinks and to forget about the world. The night was supposed to end like any other night out, passed out in his own bed and waking up ready for work. However, during this night, he begins to experience traumatic dreams of violence that uncomfortably feel more like memories, another life that he is unaware of. To make matters worse, a strange phenomena begin to take over his quiet seaside town of Saint Christopher's Ridge. At the tone of a siren, people begin to disappear into the night, only to return in forms that don't resemble themselves nor appear to be human.
It's my story, I think it's alright. If you like it, that's cool. If you don't like it, that's cool too. Whatever you think about my writing, I'm more than happy to know.
I recommend this book to everyone. You'll get immersed as you read it. It is not like most of the novels out there, it is unique. Good, job, author.
The opening was slow-paced but it gets interesting and more interesting chap by chap. Narration and punctuations were alright but an editor will solve almost half of the problems in the novel. Story direction skills were superb and the author is a good writer too. Nice touch on the novel, I am impressed!
First thing that caught my attention was the cover. It seems very commercial, in a good way - something I'd spot at my local book store. The synopsis also sounded intriguing so I started reading. Sadly, I was a bit let down by the writing quality. It is first person but some of the dialogue and descriptions don't sound very natural. Also, the characters could use some more depth straight out the gate. But I love the overall idea and it's obvious that the author cares a lot about literature and has an eye for what makes or breaks a good book. In the end, writing is the only way to improve so I encourage you to do that. Keep it up. :)
I could see that the author is enjoying in their craft. Characters are distinct, the world building is decently made and the pace is smooth. The writing quality is great as well.
This can only be rated by perfection! A five star can never be enough! It has been so long since I said something is a master piece and this is the perfect definition of one. I love the style, the descriptions, the creativity, and everything about this! Keep going cuz I can't wait for more!
This novel is perfect for it's genre. Everything about this terrified me lol, the title, the cover and the plot. I did try to not be scared while reading but 🥴 There were quite a few grammatical errors but nothing too major to adversely affect the novel. Other than that, there's nothing much to complain about. Overall, this was a good but slightly terrifying read. [img=recommend]
Okay just gotta start off this review with me saying that I really love the cover of the book! I think the chaotic design of the book's cover is what def what drew me in at first glance, and after reading the story I think you'll understand why the cover matches perfectly with the tune of the story. The writing is well done with details that never linger too much or too little. There are a few grammtical errors here and there, but it does not take away from the interesting and intriguing storyline, especially the characters. Faust, for one, is one hilarious mess of a man and Paul is a for real ride or die bestie. All of the characters in general, are funny and relatable. I really liked Alora, and I found myself cackling at her deadpan personality. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this and I hope more readers give this tory a read because it deserves all the reads and the views!
Great read. The story feels like a happy go read slice of life, but the events that happens, changes and mixes the genre a bit, which is pretty interesting.
This book is a cool one. A humanoid in to disturb the quiet neighborhood of ordinary citizens of St. Christopher. Decent writing. Extra commas to remove after dialogue. Pronouns confused. Common nouns small letters, capital letters for special nouns. Stable update. Good story pace. The MC is a broken hearted docker with reliable friends in the ordinary neighborhood of St. Christopher. Wonder who he's going to end up with in the end. Alora?
i love the story, its so dramatic and amazing i love it keep up the amazing work :DDDDDDDDDDDD ty for doing the swap [img=coins][img=exp][img=fp]
The story is good, I like the main characters I hope more chapters will be added. The story development is superb. Keep up the good work man.
Lorem Ipsum errr, I don't remember the rest so let's move on. The story paints a vivid picture of the world where the action takes place. Through the usage of the tiny elements of the world, the author instantly immerses the reader into the rich in flavour world of his creation. I really hate speaking about the plot as I believe everyone should try it themselves. Despite that, solidly written cliches and relatively standard openings allows me to peer into what possibly this novel have in store. Execution of the further plot is what I'm actually curious about, as I have a feeling that it will exceed my expectations on this one. In the end, I cannot really say much about the story. It's a solid piece of the literature that promises a tasty piece of webnovel down the line. Now it's up to author to live up to the promises his chapters give.
A good storyline, the characters are fascinating to an extent that grabs the readers attention. A beautiful picture is created through these words. Overall a nice novel.
Don't stop writing, you can do it. Don't stop expressing, or you'll dull the skill. Don't stop improving, writer fever makes us ill. Don't stop having fun, story must be told and seen.
