Synopsis

When I died I didn't expect to wake up with dark beings of immeasurable power looming over me.

I didn't expect to be given new life in a brand new world.

Now, armed with a powerful system that makes me stronger after every fight, I might be the last thing standing between the multiverse and absolute annihilation.

As I complete quests, defeat foes and become stronger, I still don't know if I'll be able to save this world, my old world and all the worlds in between.

"And below... the MAW beckoned..."

Hi, I'm the author! Below you will see reviews claiming this story was marked and completed and finished in an unsatisfying way. This was true for a time but I reached out to my editor, had it changed back to serealizing, and am now writing the story once more... so please do join in reading from the start if you would like! Jacob Lyre's story is still ongoing!

What can I say? The book was amazing. The plot had a wonderful set of twists, and the implementation of it was spicy. Jacob Lyre, the main character, is your average Joe and he plays that role well. He makes mistakes and has to deal with the consequences of overconfidence, rash thinking, and taking an optimistic rather than pessimistic, or realistic perspective. I think the world-building of this story is better than other stories—it's not too little nor too much. In certain chapters, more details could be needed for certain situations, but how the author decides to do so is up to him. Perhaps in certain situations, fewer details are better than usual. (Although, something such as describing the misty atmosphere or the rusted piping, showing how Jacob is heading into a more industrial area. It is the little details that help readers appreciate the story more.) The pacing is a bit too hectic for my liking, but so be it. Some stories work better if they move faster. (At least you aren't pulling a Psychic Parasite and having the main character finally start taking action by the 30th chapter, whereas the past 30 were delineating everyone's lives BUT the main characters and eventually killing them off/making them useless at the end.) And to cap it all off, we have a snarky and cocky "system" which "reflects Jacob's personality", providing comic relief in dire situations. Honestly, I love this twist. Jacob's thinking and behavior are shown through the system, along with his personality, and the possibility of future character development is allowed, both for Jacob and the system. Despite that, BB (the system) shines brighter than the main character at some points, such as providing critical information, with the limitation that he can't do much during combat (due to restrictions imposed by synchro mode). Although the system tends to lead Jacob by the leash with the rewards for emergency quests, there are no dire failure rewards, such as the cliché "Failure: You die." moments. The plot armor consists of "Emergency Quests", unique rewards, and random encounters, while Jacob is being ignorant (but we don't talk about that. That's bound to happen within any story, so deal with it, you critics.) It's a great story all in all. From the plot, setting, characters, and abilities, to the snarky system and events that occur within the story. Well worth reading! I'm still at the beginning of chapter 33, so I'll be updating this if there's any noteworthy changes.

***IMPORTANT READ THIS*** Don't pick this novel up because it was axed. For more explanation see below. Although it was axed by author, they did put an ending but it skips over basically the entire novel of it was finished. Also in my opinion, it kinda sucked a lot. World background was great but the story felt rushed in a lot of areas. Some ideas were not very good though. For example, the Guard, an intergalactic military organization devoted to peacekeeping is not thought out too well. The selection process is too much, it seemed more like a selection process to join the most elite Special Forces unit.

book is good, it could be wayyy better if the author fleshed out the world more and instead of a fast paced story, changed it to a slow paced story. story has a lot of potential

This story is interesting, there are a real reason for the powerful, and mysterious "System" which we always know in each Isekai Novel. Here, the System was something that integrated from the start and the MC know its existence and together they are going for the strongest.

Honestly this is a really good novel and it seems to be doing fine but I finally made it to chapter 175 and it just skips over years of progress to the last fight why did u end the novel so prematurely it was just getting good

from the synopsis alone you can already tell that the book is something that's worth your time. I always enjoy books that have a good grammatical structure and this book excels in that area. The storyline is an interesting one. Keep up the good work author.

FIRST! o3o okay, here we go! This is a story I can get right into. It is compelling and interesting, they do a great job of setting up the first scene. I have to read more. The story is a bit of a sad one I feel but that just makes it even better! Keep it up!

This is a nice story, I've read a few transmigrations stories before but I must say this one has a unique plot to it and I'm definitely looking forward to how the story develops into a good one.

Simply fell in love with the amazing style of this book. From the very first chapter I was irreversibly hooked. The language, the style, everything is topnotch in my opinion. The author did a great job at creating a very "vivid" personality for the MC. I simply love his personality 😂 Even though he may seem OP to some, he still retains a human approach to the situations and is not arrogant (though he believed he used to be). I can smell great potential for character development in the future. As a woman, he's a man I'd definitely go for 🤭🤣 The humor made me snort in laughter many times over which gives this book another 5 stars. I added it to my library and will definitely be checking it out from here on out. Ganbate author and keep up the great work! 🥰

Masterpiece of a sci-fi novel. There are only a few chapters out right now, but I can already see the endless potential this novel has and the possibilities of it being made into an anime/movie and whatnot. Really great piece of art, author, keep it up.

From the very start the first thing I liked was the descriptions used. They were vibrant enough for me to easily imagine what was happening in the story but the formatting was a bit chunky. Perhaps smaller paragraphs would help as the big ones may be a bit exhausting to readers. The MC also seems like your average joe, but has been given a literally once in a lifetime opportunity to reincarnate. though the entity that does that for him seems different to our common gods that appear benevolent, making me think what more could be there to them. The world background also seems pretty good and I would like to continue reading to know more about it.
