I’ve noticed most Webnovel books don’t clunk up their synopsis with what the story entails like most traditional books and instead the author gives a personal review to explain a few things… often very shamelessly too. So here I am to try and do the same, hopefully this review saves you the time if the book isn’t what you’re looking for. Writing Quality: You’ll come across very mistakes in the story and though I’m no English scholar, I think the grammar is at worst average. So no worries here. Update Stability: 7 or more chapters each week. More if power stone goals are met or gifts are given. I’m sweet like that. Story Development: This where things get tricky. The story is slice of life but don’t let that fool into thinking we’ll just be seeing the MC do mundane things over and over again. The story is a comedy first, urban progression second and slice of life third. In summary, this story doesn’t take itself at all seriously and that’s intentional. It’s a slow but entertaining journey of the MC in a very ‘unique’ world. World Background: Speaking of world, this is perhaps one of the stories biggest selling points in my personal opinion. It takes place in an alternate reality that will seem very familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. If you read the disclaimer and understand it then you already know how fun of a world this will be to see. To give a hint, imagine our current world was one where superhumans existed and are solid part of society. This may be the most love/hate aspect of the story as some may find it annoying while others incredibly entertaining, we shall wait and see. Character Design: I promise all shapes and sizes but I know that’s not what this means so I’ll explain the more boring stuff. The characters are well thought out and I’ve got to great lengths to ensure they don’t seem two dimensional in the least. I of course can’t do this for every single character in the story to the same extent but you get what I mean. All in all, I’d say give this a try and see for yourself. The chapters are all free as of this comment. If it’s not for you, just leave it. If you like it but hate certain aspects, lemme know in a comment or review and if you love it, also lemme know, it’s nice to know my work is appreciated and motivates me to write more. Whoever sees this and doesn’t read 20 chapters of the book is gae.
After 200+ chapters and one volume complete, I feel like it’s only right that I leave a review sharing my thoughts. The first volume focused a lot on basic introductions to the world and people. I struggled a lot with the world building elements and plot pace at the start. Because this is Webnovel, I tried to rush the story in order for it to fit the more fast paced stories on here but quickly realized the style wasn’t feasible for me. It made some interactions feel forced, particularly the first scene with you know who. It’s tough, planning, remembering characters/plots/locations/minor details and describing scenes in a way that is easy for readers to follow and feel immersed in, especially when you have to release multiple chapters a day to have your book stand out. I’ve long given up attempting to match this because it only leads me to look back and wish I did some parts of the story a little differently. But regardless of mistakes made, I keep moving forward, because that’s the only real way to improve. Learn from a mistake, try not to repeat it. Despite this story’s flaws, I’m happy I have genuine readers who support this, be it just by reading every now and then to actually buying the privilege. I’m thankful for it all. All in all, still learning as I go so any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Pathetic protagonist. 😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒
To celebrate the conclusion of the second volume, it’s time for me to write the review. First, however, I must apologize. I have waited far too long. This story deserves much more attention and appreciation than it has received so far, which is why I should have written this review at least 100 chapters ago. SHS is an excellent story, with often unpredictable events and locations (I absolutely love the Theatre of Nightmares, just to say one). The world is complex, and there are really a lot of characters, all special in their own way: here you will not find cardboard cutouts with a name scribbled on just to make up the numbers. However, getting to know all these characters, this world and the ties that hold them together takes time. But after a while, you get to know them as if they were alive. And these characters ARE alive! The writing style is equally good. The descriptions are rich, but not excessive: you can “see” even the strangest places, but this does not weigh down the reading. And the dynamic actions are almost movielike. The author (or translator/adapter in case the story is originally written in a language other than English, but I don't think so) demonstrates a great knowledge of the English language. And I am not exaggerating to say that his writing does not disfigure even if compared to renowned authors such as Wilbur Smith (chosen on purpose given the heavy amount of R18 scenes). But the best thing of all is the pacing: the action scenes do not take away space from the story, the dialogues are not too long and pretentious, and even the R18 scenes are distributed as a “prize”, for the protagonist as for the reader. Everything is balanced to grip the viewer at the key moment and let him breathe when he needs to. I must say, however, that all this applies only from a certain point of the story onward. At first, in fact, the story starts off slow, and in the first few chapters it is a bit clunky (as the author himself admitted). And this is what probably turned some readers away. But it has improved over time, and a lot, and continues to do so. The first moment when you can really begin to see what SHS is like and what its potential is, is the block of chapters entitled “Attack on Central Mall” (Ch. 65-70). From there on, everything starts to improve, slowly at first, then faster and faster until it reaches its present quality. I know, it's beyond the free chapters, but you can take advantage of the 24h free reading time you get after 14 days of consecutive logins. It costs you nothing, and I guarantee that it is worth it. There have been a few slips from time to time, but the author (as he said himself), is learning. And, trust me, he is learning fast and very, very well. So, give this story a chance, and try to read it. You will not regret it.
Hmm here what I think so far. Story it self is pretty boring at the start not much happen but him shaking in his boots and a pink demon sad jokes that just gets annoying or how he can't really do much by him self or think for himself always need someone to hold his hand or make plans for him geez when u think about it he's pretty sad. Only thing I enjoy so far is he's starting to think more like a Villain if he grows from here and stop depending on others i might actually enjoy this more. I do recommend this it's not that bad to past the time it gotten a bit better where I'm at unless something happen it might actually become a really good read i hope haven't seen a hero to villain clash yet.
Actually good novel. Gets you immersed in the story. Moves kinda slow, but the writing makes each chapter engaging and interesting, and you don't feel bored. Author 👍👍👍
So far I like the plot, steady pace of the story is good, the smut scene should have later in the story not so early, but overall great writing 😃. Thank you for your hard work author 🙏
Perfection. Chef’s kiss. Just wish the author interacted with his community a bit more but hey, maybe he’s a busy man.
goated story so far exited to see where it's going
A Good Read for me . All I can say is that the beginning might not be the best but it was a good read for me . I'm writing this after more than 250 chapters of bungee reading and seeing the other reviews. At first it felt a bit cartoonie with nice comedy . The first seg even felt a bit too rushed too but it's not that bad. But the Story is SLOW, Yes. And World building is not Anything mind-blowing thus far. ¹This story is very wholesome with the family dynamics , if You know what I mean (Wink). Mommy makes you feel the warmth , Sis is too cute and Aunt is as mischievous as she can be haha. ²The succubus is a bit too annoying too , won't lie but she becomes less frequent in later chapters with a seg chapter with her too that might not be the best of the scenarios but it's not bad . ³Some figures feel too oddly added, like Cassie seen , but the author might have plans for her though she didn't give the best first impressions. I hope the harem will be reasonable and not ruin the story with its size . I also hope MC will be a bit more serious about the women he mingles with as he is a villain. World building for a superhuman world is also desirable. Info Dumps are gpt work and feels too odd with *** symbols too lol
The Writing and humor is very funny/amusing it’s world setting and writing style is pretty detailed for a Webnovel story keep up the good work !
Honestly this book is the entire reason I have this app downloaded. The characters of this book are very vibrant in their own ways and add lots of flavor to the chapters. The dialogue between the characters are never boring and always make me laugh or have me immersed. We haven’t gotten a whole lot of information about the world but you can already tell it’s story is in a super powered world. The main character himself is relateable and acts quite how any person would. He’s doesn’t overreact to silly things like most of the MCs on this platform. He doesn’t back down and actually stands up for himself without being edgy. I didn’t type much for this book are I would have a whole essay to be read lol. Overall I say this book is one of the tops in this app for me and would like to wish the Author well for bringing out this masterpiece in the making.
Don't mind me...just decided to mark this novel as one of the new novels that my new novel has to surpass
Okay so this is one of the best superpower based novels. Feels like a tv show or something. The pace is so nice and mc gets better and better. Powers are cool and his suit also cool powers. Love the whole novel pls support this so it’s get’s popular because i need more.
Great story, are there any character images, and if yes where can we find them?
