I like how well planned and gradual the character development of HP has been.

Rare and good harry potter fic. Hope it finishes to the end
Chapter 17 and it looks good to me. First, skipping 1, 2 and 3 book and starting with the 4 book is a good decision. Second, Harry putting efford into magic is definitely more realisting than even the books. Finally, the only thing that I would like to note is the writing format that I not familiar other than the usual quotation marks for character dialogues.
