Li Fan came to the Azure Sky Sect chasing rumors of free meals, not fame or fortune. While other disciples wield swords and strive for spiritual enlightenment, he just wants a second helping of dumplings. Unfortunately—or perhaps fortunately—his appetite has a knack for causing absurd, unintended consequences.
Armed with questionable talent and an uncanny knack for making trouble taste good, Li Fan stumbles into a world of mystic sect politics, sacred beasts, and fiery rivalries. He may not know how to cultivate qi properly, but he’s about to discover that the path to power can also begin in a kitchen… and sometimes, the spoon is mightier than the sword.
HELLO, my shameless self has arrived! Yes, it is I, the very creator of this story, proudly giving it five stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 like an overconfident dad clapping the loudest at his kid’s school play (which in this case, is me). Thank you for reading! Writing Li Fan’s journey has been an absolute joy. There’s something deeply fun (and a little unhinged) about mixing high-stakes cultivation drama with midnight fried rice and divine chicken shenanigans. I never expected a gluttonous slacker with questionable motivation to turn into one of my favorite protagonists, but here we are. His chaos brings me peace. If anything made you laugh, or made you hungry (let’s be honest, both probably happened), or made you curious about what culinary dish could next defeat a cultivator—please ask questions! Comment below! I’d love to hear your thoughts, theories, or even wild dish suggestions. (I solemnly swear to consider a dumpling technique capable of defeating nascent soul cultivators.) Let’s talk! Be it about spicy noodles, spirit beasts with good taste, or your thoughts on Li Fan’s very ahem unconventional rise. Until next chapter—stay hungry, stay cheeky, and always check for forbidden herbs before seasoning. With deep-fried affection, – The Shameless Chef-Author
The scene with the Elder Kang sampling the illicit fried rice made me sit up and pay attention. The duel won me over. What a great amount of humour. Keep the chapters coming 👍
