Synopsis

The balance of the world collapsed when portals opened up to different worlds. Humans were granted systems to hunt the beasts in the Otherworlds. These beasts could give the Hunters their Codes, granting them special abilities and weapons.

In this world, Allen was born with an incurable disease that rendered his throat unable to utter words. He could only produce hissing sounds that made the other Hunters to bully him relentlessly.

He was the freak without a family.

But his world had shifted when he accidentally killed the lost beast and gained its Code. The Code of the Primordial Snake, one of the strongest beasts of the Otherworlds.

Honestly, hard to place this one. I've read 7 chapters and in that span, the MC has gone from unable to speak (a pretty cool handicap) to able to speak. MC got a great power which he wants to keep secret for good reasons, but then a chapter later thinks poorly of other characters who got a similar ability and kept it secret. MC wants to be powerful, but also wants to leave his destiny to fate instead of trying to get stronger on his own. MC wants to be careful, but then does risky stuff and almost dies several times for no reason. If the author would choose something and stick with it, this *could* have been an interesting novel. This wishy washy stuff doesn't work for me, unfortunately.

okish novel.... better than many translations, but goes downhill after chapter 30 where he is trying to act some sort of hero or instead of simply selling codes goes and wastes 10 chapters or more in city. He should be busy training, farming skill points , lvling up and collecting rare codes. Things happene for MC's convince and 30% of novel feels like filler ......

Peltivierre makes the daring choice to kick of this series with action at the start instead of a more subtle character introduction scene. Since there are so many elements to introduce in the beginning, showing the story by narrating how the MC became a hunter may have been a more effective way to gather the interest of the readers. Unfortunately even after starting the series, the chapters only consist of non-stop action from chapter to chapter instead of focusing anything on character-building, world-building, or story development. There are a number of grammatical errors where past and present tense are mixed up, which is quite jarring. There are also some instances of throwing in future tense as well. One way to improve this series would be to incorporate more imagery, describing the various sensations the MC is feeling. It would also help to describe his emotions and feelings in detail, so readers could connect to him more. Since the MC spends a lot of time, more detail could go into describing survival in the wilderness. Thus far, it’s heavily glossed over. Although this series starts up decently, it quickly comes to show it has nothing but action to substantiate it. I don't know how it changes later on, but it lacks a lot of substance.

the idea could be interesting but the novel is poorly constructed, full of inconsistencies and grammatical errors and above all plot holes. the protagonist is an idiot

I liked the start but the story goes downhill as it proceeds. The ML has snake code but he does not have any quality or show any quality. He is always led by his nose by other people. Snakes are cunning, lazy sharp and cruel and they do not possess any of the qualities even after the snake code changed his body. Moreover, the author just confusingly mixed technology and codes. I was at first very interested but after reading till chapter 50, my interest was lost! The whole novel introduces new ideas suddenly in some chapters to carry forward and the character of ML is poor, coward, cautious and extremely weak and have no knowledge about the world.

I read up to chapter 14, story was fine, there was quite a bit of grammatical mistakes, and between chapter 13-14 a character completely changes personality without warning, and forces the main character "ie plot" to do his bidding. Overall, not that optimistic towards the story.

I feel betrayed, the synopsis says that Allen was born with a disease that makes him unable to speak, he is basically mute and is an orphan because he lost his family early, when I read the synopsis I thought he was a homeless person very young, but when start reading the guy has claw scars on his throat and that gives the impression that it's not a birth disease that makes him mute, but that his voice box was ripped by the claws of some beast and the guy has already finished high school and is became a hunter for lack of choice since he couldn't find a job, the synopsis is more interesting than the beginning of the story when I started reading '-'

so at first I'm intrigued by the title and the synopsis and the story seems good but then suddenly takes wrong turn in chapter 13, I get it that the protagonist still naive and such but believing that he just planted by some nano tracker in his blood by someone and agreed to become guard/pawn just so stupid. like is he doesn't have common sense usually people will probably attack since he's alone anyway and the fact he already said he's a support just makes it worst, is he afraid of his background? I just can't comprehend it. I will try read more and probably stop when I seen any very stupid decision like this one and hopefully there's none

The premise of the story is interesting but the actual coolness of the codes system is lost due to the lack of codes and their usage. There are a ton of errors and some of the chapters are actually in the wrong order. The character has the potential to be great and this story amazing, but it seems like the author can’t stay on track with the characters goals.

Honestly. I enjoyed the beginning but then there are some critical things that don't make sense at all. His power level is inconsistent and literally don't know anything about how strong he is compared to others. World building also doesn't make sense as well. Ascension isn't described properly so clueless regarding that. Basically Mc is as strong as the author wants him to be at any given point so you always have no clue how strong he is.
