Alone: Tale of a monster hunter
It was a normal world. Everyone lived a normal life until one day, people started disappearing one after another. That was a year ago. At first, people thought it was a usual case of kidnapping. But as time passed, the disappearances further escalated. Numerous operations were launched to discover the whereabouts of the missing people. However, these attempts were futile. No one who went missing was ever seen again.
It was a matter which didn't concern Zaen. An 19-year-old dropout whose life wasn't as messed up as the others. His parents had abandoned him and his little brother. But as long as he had his little brother with him, the world could go to hell for all he cared. Until one day his brother, Aeron didn't come home after his school. He looked for him everywhere... but it was the same. He too had vanished like he never existed. The police were no help either. They simply declared him 'missing'. And just like that Zaen lost the only person he had in his life. It had been a week since Aeron's disappearance. Zaen had lost all hope.
Until... he received a text on his phone. It was in a language he had never seen before but somehow he knew what it said.
[Congratulations mortal! You have been selected to be humanity's champion!]

What is going on here? Humanity's champion? Inventory?
As soon as he thought about inventory, a bright screen appeared in front of him. The next moment his attire was completely changed and he had a knife in his hands.
[MIssion 1: RECLAIMER.]
[Introduction: There have been mysterious disappearances in your area. Find and eliminate the cause of the disappearances.]
[Task: Kill the Charred Ghoul hiding in the local park.]
[Rewards: ???]
[Failure to complete the task would result in the death of all the disappeared humans.]

Zaen didn't know what was happening. But all he cared about the chance he had been given to save Aeron and he wasn't going to waste it. Even if he had to die.

After finishing the first volume of the story, I can finally give my work an honest rating. 1. As you can read from other reviews, the start of the novel is one of the best things I've ever written. But the pace afterwards is a bit sloppy. 2. I was too focused on developing the future plotlines of the story, I forgot to pace it properly, which I took care of immediately after realising my mistake. 3. I can say with surety that things improve later on (as you will see). I just request you to have patience while reading the first volume of the story. 4. the Second volume is where the story picks up and I promise to make it one of my best works ever. Even though it's only 3 chapters it captivates me how he care for he's brother, the world background and the beautifully written chapters. I hope it stays like this as chapter's goes by. Like it and certainly added to my libray. Cheers for the upcoming adventures with Zaen! 🍻
If you're reading this review, then I guess you stumbled upon this novel by chance. Let me tell you one thing, fellow daoists: you will definitely regret not reading this novel! Even if you are not used to reading this particular genre, you'll still be immersed in the story because of the author's impeccable writing style.
the novel is pretty good I like the fact that he is like going to fight weird ghost and supernatural stuff and this is based of me only reading the first chapter I hope you don't drop
I don't know how the author does it, but with every passing chapter the story gets better and better. I know a bit more about the story than the crowd here as I'm a beta reader. Still I can't wait for y'all to see what happens in the future.

this is an amazing book read you won't regret it the mc is someone who would do anything for the people he cares about and while he may make mistakes he trys to learn from it all
well I promised after 10 chapters I would give a true review so here it is. This is so far a great story the MC is well made and relatible so far and I doubt he will be op anytime soon. His power and skills sound reasonable. The first boss sounds like something I would love to fight myself and hints at the idea of hidden blood lines/abilities. so I can't wait to see what happens next keep up the good work.
An interesting plot furthered by good writing. Although system fantasy stories have become an increasingly common staple, hopefully the author will be able to distance this story from others.
Your story is like a magnet. Each chapter makes the readers want for more. I don't want to spoil the fun of others but you're seriously missing out if you're not reading this excellent masterpiece.

first time writing review the story and atmosphere is over all good but I don't like mc coz? that simple he isn't a human hero type person he have what it take to be hero but don't have hearts of a hero to sacrifice everything for the greater good. character development is going on but that all I can say for now.
