Being re-birthed as a cell, Han Dong utilized the power of the Prison code and came into a parallel world where the Ancient Ones have awakened.
A steam powered civilization, horrifying subspaces, the Ancient King of the Eternal Night and strange monsters lurking outside the city.
The door of Destiny has been opened - Crusaders, Library, Control, Machinery and Mysticism would become the new growth system for human development.
The hymn of Humanity is the song of courage! The brave and dauntless Knights Regiments, riding into the world ruled by the Ancient King to seize back the freedom that belongs to mankind.
The first chapters seem boring, but if you get over that the plot comes togheter nicely and the world development has a lot of potential from I have seen on the later chapters. Give it a try even if the chances to get chosen are on the - side:D
I lied, I read 11 chapters. Okay, first the mc was reborn as a clump of cells in a prison that most likely exist in an another seperate dimension next to another world. The prison is something unique the mc can used to store 'damaged' living organisms. And to do other things. As for the mc's abilities: The prison is portable, so he can use it anywhere except special circumstances and to change his face's appearance, of course he can also collect body parts and let go of his old worse quality ones. The world is already explained in the sypnosis, magic plus steam age. Though in the 8? chapter the mc needed to go through something called 'space of destiny' that required all the youths (16 - 25? Is that considered youth?) to participate. 'Space of Destiny' is basically an alternative space (Or a dream, whatever) that takes a scenario to complete, like the movie 'Cursed', so yeah, movies are back again.... (Stupid) but I don't know if such things are going to continue because it seemed like an one-time thing. Translation Quality: 5* - readable SoU: 5* - Trial Read Story Development: 3.5* - for me, it's not that bad though in another perspective. Character design: 5* - difference can be seen World Background: 5* - not really gonna rate it lower due only reading 11 chapters (YESS!!!! [Senior Is Too Steady] Is chosen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, <- - - My previous review and apparently you can do only one review...
Its great. new concepts... woth the time..... Hope it gets chosen....................................................................................................................................................................
This feels to be one of the better novels to come through Trial Reads so far. I’m a bit skeptical that it’ll get chosen due to it not being a system/cultivation/face-slapping novel, but I can always be optimistic about it. The initial impressions are that it is a combination of Lord of Mysteries and multi-verse crossover novel (Terror Infinity/48 hours a day), but not enough has been revealed to judge whether or not that’s correct. My mental imagery has conjured up some Bloodborne vibes, but again, its hard to say how accurate that is. There’s a general sense of mystery regarding the world that’s quite well done. Enough has been shown to pique my interest and hint at a greater mystery regarding the world building, but not so much has been revealed for me to jump to conclusions one way or another. My initial impression is that it takes place in a post-apocalyptic future time where society has degraded technologically to the Industrial Revolution level. There’s a lot of potential here for how things will play out. There appear to be elements of eldritch horror in the Lovecraftian vein, but they’re also balanced with aspects of steampunk and magic. The Lovecraftian elements feel appropriately mysterious and sufficiently dangerous in context. They seem to offer great power with the corresponding amount of consequence, which sets them up to be potentially compelling devil’s bargains in the future. The way steampunk technology has been used thus far and hopefully magic in the future as well lead me to believe that wits and daring will play a larger role in combat than simply might/strength of arms. Aside from the MC, even some minor characters have been shown to be cunning and sprung concealed cards in attempts to turn the tables. Unfortunately, its too soon to say whether or not this will continue, but initial impressions are favorable. The novel summary is a bit vague and I originally thought this was going to be somewhat of a monster evolution novel where the MC evolves from a cluster of cells into increasingly powerful monster forms. He sheds his initial form fairly quickly and “reincarnates” into a human body. From there, he arrives in seemingly Industrial Revolution-era Europe and gets swept up in a scenario-test type world that all youths entering *****hood must undergo where things aren’t as straightforward as they seem. Survivors are selected to become trainees of a order tasked to protect the remnants of humanity from the dangers of the outside world(s). Side characters feel realistically intelligent and take reasonable actions indicative of their backgrounds. There haven’t been any cartoonish villains so far and antagonists have conducted themselves pretty realistically in the context of their backgrounds. All said, the introductory 60 chapters were quite good and enough crumbs have been laid for the story to branch off in a number of potential directions.
I’m not sure how this novel is so highly rated. Just five chapters in, the author’s rock-bottom intelligence has turned this novel into an utter disaster. As they say, you can’t write someone to be more intelligent than yourself. So many inconsistencies, a ton of nonsensical bull****. Don’t waste your time if you can’t stand reading gibberish.
An interesting premise with the MC transmigrated into a mass of cells that move, before finding a host. However, then we get the stereotypical sister, and I feel cheated by the fact that the host becomes a returnee by going into movie worlds. It is not terrible and has a decent plot, but I was hoping for something completely original.
Great novel with a twist of the cliché. We have an Mc that's smart and legit use his brain. Although there's repetitive writing like how he said he is professor again and again or that he died of lung cancer, I still think is tolerable and mostly because other novel has even worse writing. When you start reading this novel I recommend you to actually read it till chapter 30 or so to get a feel of how the character is and how the story would be. The first 10 chapters is more detailed background building at least for me. The author tells us the current situation of the Mc and explore a bit more about the cheat that he got. I'm very positive about this novel as I read till chapter 60. I feel it could be a replacement for Lotm for a while, since we have to wait for the 2nd book for it. All of this is of course based of my own opinion of the 60 chapters. People might have different opinions about it but at least till the 60th chapter, translation quality has been one of the best I've seen in webnovel. If they could maintain the quality and the story is consistent with plot and not to cliché or at least if they execute said cliché perfectly, then in my humble opinion this might be one of the best new novel that they will publish. Cheers!!
A started here, got frustrated when I couldn’t read more, then went and read 1000 more chapters in mtl (surprisingly good quality). The story starts a bit confusing by chapitre 30 get what’s going on. Don’t expect an op character. You have a world that is all about understanding the rules, cooperation and using them to your advantage. The hero uses his head before all, and it’s great. If you like klein in LOTM, you’ll find the same kind of protagonist. And world building is top-tier
Please try to go past the first few chapters. It gets really interesting after that. At first it seems cryptic and boring but the whole story changes afterwards. Give it a go. The MC is smart and cautious, he also plans ahead for possible issues like his new identity and what not. This is such a good novel. It is solid. H Hopefully it gets selected.
Please let this be chosen. I recommend you guys this book, no plot errors, no wack character development, story stability is really consistent. If you're a long time novel reader you'll know how boring the streo type novels this day. Once you read this you'll get hook right away.
I hope this is picked....
Very unique world building, was a little confusing and vague at the start, but now that things are getting going, this seems like a very interesting novel.
I already read this on mtl and one of the very best sci-fi novel I read and recommend it to all...............................................
Yooo, it's being translated again !! I've waited and suffer enough for three years 😭
