The phoenix is a creature of legends, a wonder of the world, an imagery of life and destruction. This fabled creature signifies the rise of a hero in a virtual world where battles occur for the sake of honor and glory!
Zhang Yang was a professional gamer in the first and most fantastic game that revolutionized the world: God’s Miracle. A game where traditional knowledge in RPGs did not matter anymore, players would have to manually target and evade attacks, giving rise to a significant gap in skill between a professional and an amateur gamer.
Zhang Yang’s downfall came a little too soon. His girlfriend was snatched, his guild was harassed and disbanded, and he was even driven to commit suicide! Jumping off the top floor of a hotel, Zhang Yang seemed as though he was soaring like a phoenix. Little did he know that the end of his life also signified his rise from the ashes!
Here is my review after reading 189 chapters : MC have a lot of broken skills, know everything in the game (boss skill, dungeon environment, future event) with excuse as 'beta player' and MC is the only 'beta player' in the game so far and no one in his party care about something like that, they just follow MC command like trained dog and ask him everything about the game. Even the game company don't care about MC, they should be atleast suspicious but they just don't care at all. Someone in MC party always make boring dirty joke, there are 2 money grubber who love to hoard every items and money as much as possible eventhough they are filthy rich, MC meet 2 new member (1 with 'perfect leg', the other one is another *** joke lover). Author always talking about how sexy and big boob the healer in party, and keep creating pointless argument againt each character with end result as dry humor, mostly *** joke humor then everyone laugh like middle school boys. Female MC protagonist which never appear again after 1st appear in early chapter with short introduction. Dumb and idiot antagonist so far, there is 1 rival guild who hate MC, and the Guild Master from tha guild always know how to make fun of himself like idiot, he is so shameless as well. Story so far mostly doing dungeon run, gathering materials, errand boy, there is no notable story. Even the main quest which MC got only doing dungeon run and kill boss in the dungeon. Game world itself never get explain so far, so I don't know how big the world is or what place in the game world. MC rarely do anything in real world.
First of: Qidian deletes all low-star reviews, which just goes to show what a dishonest bunch they are. The story in my view, really isn't very good. There are a lot of typos, a lot of careless mistakes. the story is cool in the beginning, but it gets very repetitive and boring fast. It's 1to1 WorldOfWarcraft in book-form. You time is precious don't waste it on painfully mediocre things like this.
It's a shame that they ruined this novel with the new policy of spirit stones only for new chapters. Cost to unlock each chapter is nearly double what I earn a day and they release multiple a day so bump this. I might check up on this novel every week or two but more than likely I'll just drop it. I say it's a shame because this novel was fairly good. I really appreciate that the author doesnt try to write around intimate relationship moments like they're a prepubescent recluse who's never even heard of ***. That being said, pretty standard novel among those themed around VRMMORPGs. Slightly better written than most but MC becomes super OP as per usual.
A ****** and interesting take on restarts, vr games, and guilds. Have seen it all before, yet author is really great at introducing th elements of the story without it feeling out of place. As for translations they are amazing. The speed and quality drew me in and won't let me go. Hope, yet pray we don't reach the end of this 800+ novel within this year, a remarkable feat on the translations community.
It's interesting, sure, but the characters are flat. The author seems to think that humor or camadre comes from random snippets of party members shouting insults at each other or random nonsensical banter. Consistency was an issue early - either the author or translator did not properly proofread, since repetition of information seems to be contradictory: the AOE sweep skill that was supposed to have gone from 100-200% damage because the MC did a certain quest perfectly is displayed as 200% both times in the story, despite the first instance being supposedly 100. Several other, smaller inconsistencies in dialogue also pop up. The number scaling is also ridiculous - supposedly the number of players in the very beginning were 4 million simultaneously with over a billion after 5 years.... And the 'guy whose uncle works at the company' states that the VR helmets for the game sold 500 million of its stock preorder... Supposing that a super advanced VR helmet that connects to neural pathways was priced CHEAPER than today's high resolution monitor helmets at 500 dollars, and that millions of individual people could afford such a luxury and were willing to pay for it, the company would have just made 250 billion dollars of revenue. In preorders. However, if you can retain your suspension of disbelief then it's entertaining. At least until you get past the first 2 dungeons. The damage scaling doesn't change at all. The MC at level 16 can do 400 damage with his 'super op' aoe ability. Then later after more than tripling his weapons attack and getting a flat 50% armor penetration ability it does 700 damage to regular mobs. Then, despite the MC's perfect knowledge of the boss attack patterns and having party members that are described as being extremely good, being potentially pro level after improving some mechanical skills, they get wiped several times. From dumb mistakes. Overall, not bad. Honestly? Not worth being nearly as highly rated or popular. It has many, many flaws that can be easy to overlook, so might make for a decent read.
It started out good, the plot quickly took place and I like how there isn't any filler chapters. However, after a while, it gets repetitive. Going for dungeons, protagonist explaining the strategy, team wipe, etc. To be honest, the characters are plain annoying, especially how the author makes all the female characters soooo annoying. And makes them all having nice figures and whatever, it makes me disappointed and mad. The characters are the ones turning me away from this story, they are so cliche and annoying. Why does the author make all the female characters so stupid? The only female character that hasn't made a bad impression on me is the guild master of the all-girls guild. Geez. Thanks for all the hard work, translators and author.
It's a good novel ... then they put the spirit stones for every chapter.....well time to drop it @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Many typos/incomplete sentences (some words just missing, leaving empty spaces). Starting from chap 200++, the text getting smaller and smaller in each chapter, ****** it unreadable.
I have to drop this novel. Well i dont really see the struggle of the MC yet till chapter 145... and all of sudden we need to pay to read chapter 145... while they have 710 chapter unread... with so many gem needed to read 710x12.... who wont drop it?
Enjoyable read, but gets very repetitive very fast, starts out good, but for gods sake do we need one whole chapter to go through every boss in every dungeon (2-5 bosses or so in a dungeon) and what the mc does in said dungeons is the same thing he does with every other dungeon, explain boss' abilities, slowly throughout the course of the chapter whittling down the boss' hp, and commanding his team, and oh look you got wiped and its the end of the chapter, wait till next chapter to find out if he clears it this time haha... overall, Translation quality and stability is good, but the repetitive ass plot is so damn boring. Still a decent way to pass time tho :P
i really hope the translator can add more chapters/week cause the novel is so F***ING awesome but when I realize that there is no more chapters to i pretty much get agitated cause i want more chapters !!! I WANT MOOOOORE CHAPTEEEEERS !!!
I'm gonna be honest. And I promise this is all the truth. From the start to the end this has been a good story. The team is also very very good. I assure you that this novel will not waste your time. The plot is well structured and illustrated. Although the story has ended, I'm very sad but still it's impact in my life is huge. Overall the novel should be read(past tense) by everyone cuz it's very great. So I'm here to give thanks to the team! Congratulations for the team for making this journey amazing! More power to you!
IT is Slow and non progressive novel. Read better novel with same concept it has flawed foundation. Every thing MC say or do is right no matter how illogical. It is all so racist and call racial slang/curse to Korean & Japaneses people, will mocking India GODS in deeming ways. I am embarrassed to have read such a dirty piece of work. Shame on you for translating a novel of a bigot & racist.
Reveal Spoiler
The story's alright if you don't have much else to read. It's simply about a reincarnated gamer and with his advanced knowledge profits and becomes the best.
