I want to give this a good score, but i just can't since everything is just copied from the version on wuxiaworld. Although this one has more chapters at first look, the chapters here are just smaller and some cut into pieces. If you want to read this please go to wuxiaworld and read it there and support the real translator and not some kind of copy paster.

Read this on Wuxiaworld not opinion fact! I don't normally do reviews but I just had to review this because while there aren't any issues with the novel itself or the translation quality. There is a major issue in that text has been removed from this one, text surrounded by brackets [example]. So starting with chapter five information that relates to skills and objects start appearing in those brackets, which can be easily checked. So you don't get the full experience of the novel on Qidian, to get the full translation in terms of quality read on Wuxiaworld. At least until they include missing text. I'm a big fan of ww so don't get all angry. you do have to admit that qidian has a better website design to read then ww's. support ww and qidian.

MC is a brain dead retard with a hero complex made out to be smart and clever because 10% of the time he makes a decent choice or "remembered something I researched for a story". The other 90% is spent with him freaking out over tiny problems and in general just being an idiot that feels the need to protect and save everyone, most of the time failing and literally fainting at the last stretch before being saved by whatever plot armor pops out of some little loli ass. Would not recommend at all.

I dunno why the rating is so low, this is an amazing novel if you want an action-filled tale that has a ton of game elements. The description makes the novel sound like slapstick but the MC is actually really smart and the MC and his group spend almost all of their time fighting for their lives so while there are definitely comedic moments its not all fun and games (far from it the MC started chain smoking due to stress lol). Anyway give it a read if you need a break from traditional cultivation novels

this is the story of a clever idiot.yup very very clever IDIOT.and he is also lucky goddesses most favorite that she always farts on his face when required.the story goes like this till now.the mc is very clever but he chooses to have a cute pet that helped him(which he got as a reward) than a strong pet even when he can die any seacond and he also meets random women(no matter who they are just being women is enough) and the women will get into trouble that can never be solved by MC and then MC will again become totally brainless at that moment and be like i will rather die for this random women i just met than leave her and then the lucky goddess is like "oh nooo! the brainless saviour of women is dying" and she will fart on his face which solves his problems and MC wins.most ridiculous story i read.if the story had even a little bit of common sense this idiot would definitely die many times in the beginning itself. dont read this if you dont want to waste your time on the story of another one of those lucky bastards

I've only read up until chapter 72 at this point but the translation is above average while the story, character design and world setting were quite enjoyable. 3/5 stars for update stability since this novel is newlly hosted at qidian and it has yet to earn more or fewer stars.

For the love of god and everything you believe or don't believe in: don't be foolishly swayed like I was by the water army who sings praises to this novel. It starts out decievingly well and has a good premise, and manages to go strong for a little while before brazely dropping the act and showing its true colors. Quick summary: mc is an incomprehensible moron who gets praised to highest heaven as the Supreme Genius Stragegist for having a half-decent/obvious plan once in a blue moon; as for the other 99,99% of the screentime he whiteknights around collecting bimbos in distress, getting his arse handed to him EVERY. SINGLE. TIME., only to be bailed out by unexplained coincidense / "awakened instincts" that are never mentioned again / enemies suddenly gaining a new set of chromosomes in exchange for half of their IQ / convenient moment of luckyness / deus ex machina (this time literally) / plot armor / a random loli that in a single second gains more power than mc ever had and finishes off a boss with a single lvl.1 fireball (yes, seriously). Have mercy on your nerve endings and spleen, just don't read it.

A Counterfeit Glory. 'Gate of Revelation' has a good concept, and it is implemented rather well, specially how the characters are connected to each other. However, like many Chinese novels, this one, too, suffers from what I call the 'Counterfeit Glory', which means exaggerating and glorifying everything Chinese, and rejecting and shaming other cultures and traditions. I have never, until now, written a review to diss a novel, this is the first time. The trigger was in Chapter 637, where a character, named Yang Lin says to a Swiss woman that she doesn't know integrity as her country proclaimed to stay neutral while secretly helping the nazis. So the question that arises is, is China a righteous country ? We won't go into details and create a debate whether China is a good or bad country - it has no end to it. No country is righteous, that is one we must accept. It feels so sad to see such biased views in a novel you like reading. Writers like Dancing, and that of novels like "I'm really a superstar" need to learn from Er Mu, the writer of 'Release That Witch'. RTW has a mature protagonist, who does not spend his time dissing others, nor is he a loser who acts arrogantly because of some system. and he surely does not show himself off like a superstar after stealing other people's works. RTW also acknowledges and respects homosexuals. Where other authors create vicious jokes on them, Er Mu surprisingly shows us the touching romance and love between two females, Princess Tilly and Ashes. This shows the difference between these authors. There are two things that I find are present in poor quality novels, like this one - 1) Arrogance 2) Irresponsible and cowardice. 1) A protagonist needs to be strong and still humble. If he is not a good person, and cannot be used as a reference for self improvement, why the hell must we read that novel ? Although Chen Xiaolian acts as a good person, there are many instances where we see his overly arrogant side which is usually unnecessary. The various scenes of discrimination are enough to provide proof. 2) A protagonist is a leader and a winner. There is no use and no reason for us to read a story about a loser- after all, there are many losers while there is only one winner. So it is very irritating to see a protagonist which has strength to act cowardly and selfishly. There is no need for me to write much, a comparison between 'Roland Wimbledon' from Release that Witch and Chen Xiaolian from Gate of Revelation is enough to tell that. In short, it is a pity to lose such excellent works just because of their author's biased thoughts.

Read this if you like a protagonist with a hero complex with a loli at your side. The plot armor saves this MC's ass constantly while he plays the hero.

This story had potential, but bad execution. MC is a "white knight" but with so many plot armor, it got boring after a while. No updates for a long time, no translator anymore.
