Synopsis

[COMPLETE] Can a royal Romeo and Juliet find their happy ending?

Ayleth, Princess of Zenithra, is secretly trained in hand-to-hand combat, and collects swear words she doesn't know how to use. During the Festival of Peace, in which every royal son on the continent will be at the castle for a month, she is instructed by her parents to find a husband. Yet, Ayleth has never even been kissed—until the very first ball, when she meets the man in the Lion mask.

Etan is a seasoned warrior, and the Prince of Summitras. He attends the Festival hoping to find a powerful wife who will help him conquer the dark sorcery of their bloodsworn enemies, the Kingdom of Zenithra. But at the very first ball, he discovers the masked woman who captures his heart is the Heir to the evil empire.

Ayleth and Etan face an impossible battle. Will their love survive? Or will their parents' dark dealings keep them apart forever?

“You…” She stepped back. Then back again, her mouth dropped open. “You… You cannot be…”

“I am,” Etan said, and his hair raked back as he pushed his mask off his handsome face. So handsome her heart raced.

His hair was ebony black, his skin a warm brown that threatened to fade in in the winter months. He stared at her with glittering green eyes, over high cheekbones and a noble nose, his jaw tight and shadowed this late in the day. His chin was high over the pillar of his neck that she’d just touched with its hard lines and steel strength, so different to her own. And his chest... She gasped and covered her eyes. She’d humiliated herself revealing her stupid, childish curiosity.

“No, Ayleth. This changes nothing.”

“How can you say that? It changes everything!” She was horrified to realize she was crying.

“Ayleth, please.” His voice cracked on the plea and she stared at him, shoving her mask up and off, despite how it would pull her hair out of the beautiful twist the maid had managed for her.

His eyes locked on hers and she couldn’t think. She couldn’t breathe.

She had met her One. And he was the son of her bloodsworn enemy.

She stared at him as he stepped forward again, offering both hands, palm up. “Touch me,” he whispered. “Hold my hands. This is real, Ayleth. I don’t know how it happened, but this is real. Please don’t deny it.”

She couldn’t resist. She raised a trembling hand to his cheek, letting her palm catch on the scruff of his jaw. He blew out a breath and put his hand over hers, and that jolt that happened whenever they touched shivered through her again.

“Please, Ayleth.”

“I cannot deny it,” she whispered.

One of the most captivating writers I’ve discovered on WebNovel. I can’t stop reading. The discourse is smart and fun, Etan is dreamy, and you can feel the electricity crackle between them. Plus, there’s always unique, original elements that are surprising and make these stories super fun to read. This one is no exception! I can’t wait to see what kind of wicked things her mother’s magic is capable of and how these two overcome all of the odds they face (apart from some kind of divine design that has magnetically drawn them together). Fantastic!

Absolutely mesmerized by the story of Ayleth and Etan! I accidentally came across the story through the daily recommendation. Although I usually prefer to start reading only completed novels only by the sypnosis caugth my interest and BOOM! I'm hooked! I have seen the author’s note saying that she’ll be paying less attention to this story because it wasn’t as profitable but I beg you please, please, please update more on the story, because I literally fell in love with it. To fellow readers, please don’t hesitate to give this story a try and support our author so she can give us more update. Lastly, I would like to say thank you AimeeLynn for introducing me to the story and you’re doing a good job. Keep it up! I’m rooting for you!

I just love how real the characters feel. Ayleth is sweetly innocent but incredibly curious and daring *cough cucumber cough*. Etan is smart and perceptive but sometimes rash. Borsche has a way of expecting impending disaster at every turn but he takes it in stride. And the queen that I know mostly from Ayleth’s comments is clearly very eager and open to discussing everything with her daughter. I honestly can’t wait to see where Aymee Lynn takes this one! And if you like this one I recommend checking her other books out. She’s got a wide range of romance out there already, there’s really something for every taste.

Ethan is a true gentleman. he had chance beyond chances and chose respect and honor. We need more of that. The relationship that he has with his 'clown' is awesome! The stables got me good!

AimeeLynn you've out done yourself again! I can't wait to delve into this story further, to learn the political power struggles of the kingdom and how they will overcome for true love! You paint the world with do mush detail that I feel I'm living in it from the moment I "flip"the page ((let be real I scroll but, semantics.)) ♥️♥️ Chrystal

Very well written. Original and interesting. Would have been a 5 star read, but it ended having too much of a religious vein for my taste. At the end it made me think of those fanatic churches getting people to submit to a specif set of beliefs. This did not sit very well with me. But I really liked the romance, the character development and the overall story. Also it’s the best one I’ve read on this app when it comes to good use of English.
