Lucy opened her eyes and saw a clean room filled with the smell of disinfectant water. Only then did she remember that she had just donated a kidney to her younger sister. The anesthetic has only just worn off.
Just then, the door of the ward opened and a slender man walked in.
When Lucy saw the man, an excited smile appeared on her pale face.
"Smith, you came to see me..."
Lucy's tone was weak, but tried to make every word clear.
She stretched out her hand somewhat hard, wanting to get Smith Lu's response.
But what she could never have imagined was the bad news that followed...
"Lucy, did you know that your family is bankrupt?" Smith indifferently ignored Lucy's outstretched hand, and walked to sit on the sofa by the window.
"What are you talking about? It's impossible, my family has been going well before, and nothing bad has happened recently. How is that possible? Smith, you have to save my family..."
Lucy was so worried that she even could not breathe. And when she asked for help, Smith just watched indifferently.
Gradually, Lucy noticed something, tried to calm herself down, and sat up slightly to look at Smith.
"I have helped you to acquire your family's company, and your property transfer letter has been notarized. I never thought you would love me this much that you're willing to give up all your possessions, but I am here to divorce you today."

But she didn't know anything about it.
Although they had been married for just a few months, not even six months.
Even Smith almost never came home, she still cleaned the house every day, made his favorite meals and waited for him to come home.

This book really gave me too many disappointments... nd that was mostly because it portrayed a very stupid mindset about how girls are so very stupid nd idiotic enough to lay down their pride for a man and love him no matter even though he treats you as garbage which is so illogical to me, the FL was a complete example of a lovesick idiot who destroyed herself and her family over a cheating scum called her husband, but she still had the audacity to have hope that he loved after everything, this book is the perfect example of of a typical dog blooded Mary sue novel with a brain dead FL nd the worst part is that she wasn't even given a chance to reincernate but instead face the consequences of her stupidity, I dropped this stupid book as soon as I reached chapter3 I just couldn't take it at all my blood just felt so hot🤬😠😠😡 Well anyways I highly recommend this book to people with weird fetishes nd a disturbing sense of justice... no really I insist, it's your funeral 😒
Congratulation for successfully sit firmly on the list of the most disappointing & disgusting novel I ever read. The FL lost her mother and one of her kidney, nearly die a few times, all of her misery were related to the ML, but the biggest cause other than the villain was the FL herself. Yes, the ML got tricked but that didn't make him innocent. No one force him to drag a woman who just got surgery on the floor, no one force him to... Etc etc... Bla bla bla... Ugh, sorry, but this novel really disgusted me. (⋟﹏⋞)

I don't know why but I have seen most of author protatrate this abusive relationship to a romantic relationship story where women didn't have any 1% of self respect and self loving for herself for what just to show that the story have thrilled .
Very disappointing story, the ML literally slaps her and kicks her to the ground after surgery and yet she gets back together with him. Very disgusting and honestly romanticizes abuse in relationships
