Adelaide, a homeschooling mother, had no idea that her life, and those of her children, were about to change when she receives a hand-carved metal necklace from her sister. After being transported back to 1600s Canada - a time of tribal warfare and the ever-present danger of disease - history comes to life as Adelaide must survive.
