Taaliyah who aspire to become a teacher has always been in love with her childhood friend Derek who rejected her and left the country to achieve heights in his career as a pop singer.
Their connection ended there, after high school.
Years later, on an important day of Taaliyah's career, she found that he is back in her life, shockingly. Derek returned back as a famous singer while Taaliyah climbed the ladder as a teacher who yet had alot to accomplish in life as a beginner. But Derek decided to hinder her growth while trying to get his incomplete school degree and win her back. But things get complicated when Min Ah and Irfan crossed both their lives.
The bitter sweet moments, and the love hate relationship leads to one trouble after the other. But will she accept his offers years after him running away from her.

"You get off me," Taaliyah said angrily, trying to take his hands off her hips. She could never forgive him after all these years.
"I won't," Derek had that alluring mischievous smile on his face enough to cause chaos in a woman's heart.
"It's school, Its shameful to get caught, am a teacher here," she explained to him. He began to run his hands down her neck and unbuttoned her shirt. "Derek stop,"
"I don't care, I will show you today, what did you call me, say it," he said and inserted his hands into her shirt, around her hips pulling her closer. It was intimidating to her. She turned her head away, but he touched her cheek and made her look into his eyes. He felt her heart pounding loud against his as he moved closer and brushed his lips on her.
"Derek no," she whispered but it did not stop him, standing behind the half shut door in the 8th grade classroom after school hours. Taaliyah could hear people outside, still walking. But she got lost, in his arms, as he deepened his kiss. She held on to his shirt tight.

It is rare to come across with a love story with a realistic plot. At any point of your life you might've seen a couple like Derek and Taaliyah- childhood sweethearts and how their love blooms. But what makes this story different from others? the relatable scenarios. The school life, friends and family, everything feels relatable. The author did a great job in portraying the emotions of the main leads without any fail. The world build-up and the supporting characters arcs are well written and I must say that, this book got a way to attract the reader's attention. This story has really touched my heart........... I feel like I'm addicted to it. It represents the difficulty of the children and their changes in their puberty. It also shows the evolution of the love between two friends. It also shows the daily problems between the elders... Overall, It's really a beautiful and heart-touching novel......

I was easily pulled in by the synopsis, the small excerpt especially. Lol what a tease that was. The story is nicely written and the author has a good and understandable writing style. Sometimes I got a bit confused but as I read on things got more clear. I'm looking forward to continuing the journey of Derek and Taliyah or is it Taaliyah? The story is good. Plot is interesting. Characters are young i guess the main story after this childhood background which makes me want to know what happens sooon. The background setting of the story is great, it is so real and vivid that reader can see it. But update daily so that we can keep and proofread too. Great story.

The story appears to be happening in a new, interesting and very novel setting. I loved the tiny details, I love how food are presented, all the images used are on point, there is a great background information, especially the families, traditions, their beliefs and the system. The language is also simple and good. I cannot wait to read more and find what happens to the characters. the combination of teacher and a singer, it's going to be a bang ! please update daily author.
The story has real and original plot. I wonder how author came up with such a realistic story. The narration is great. The emotions are authentic, images are vivid, the language is simple, the descriptions are wow and change of scene from one to another, i like how the author has detailed it and make it clear about what is happening in the chapter. The characters and story, its very relatable too. Thank you author for such a sweet story.
