!Warning! This novel contains quiet protagonist who ISN'T shameless, is working to overcome true life adversity, and DOESN'T fall out of character whenever plot devices are needed. All characters obey their character designs, and act within the bounds of personality limits. The plot flows well, and doesn't get ahead of itself. The author is keeping up a constant stream of smaller chapters. This is easy on upkeep, and is a smart decision in case life gets busy or writer's block happens. The only reason that this doesn't get a perfect score for me is that there are moments (very few, but they are there) where intense or emotional points don't hit home as strongly as they could. This is nitpicky, but 'hey' I'm allowed to critique. This is a review. TL;DR: one of the best novels on this site, and it does it without containing all the gimmicks of the majority of novels here, like guilty pleasure harems/ruthless protagonist/protagonist achieving everything and being perfect/blah blah blah. TL;DR;DR - Read this novel.

Not my usual cup of tea, but I love it all the same. Great novel so far, I haven't really read many sporting novels but this one has a special place in my heart. The character development is fantastic and I'm able to form vivid images of the characters in my mind. The story has been building up nicely so far and I have high hopes for the future of this novel! Keep up the great work!

I have read only two chapters and already added it to my library! 😁😁 It's really amazing. I can't believe that's it is an original. WOW! 😱😱 And the length of the chapters are perfect. Neither too small nor too long, just perfect. I love it. I am also an author, writing a novel in this section by the name of, "The Journey To An Unknown Destination." And I have just started to write it. That is why I am really impressed that it's not easy to come up with an idea and then write it down so beautifully...,😊😁😁 But I just love this one!!! 👍👍👍👌👌👌

Sent to live with a foster family, his love for baseball is revived, and with their help, will Jake start to shine like the future superstar he is? This is a really well written story!

So far this novel has been amazing, however recently the update schedule has been a little crazy. The author deserves breaks it's just difficult when you aren't a privileged reader because you can't read any author's notes that may explain the author's absence. To many readers the author may appear unreliable even if that isn't the case. I have been loving Jake as he breaks out of his shell and am always looking forward to new chapters!

This is one of my favorite novels but it only has one fault and it is the author barely updates it. It really sucks because to me this book is a 10/10. The character developments is the best ive ever seen and you would also end up loving this novel. But when you end up up to the latest chapters you start to forget all about it.

The best sports novel i have read so far.. I put a 5 for all.. the only thing that could be a 4 is the world bg since it is just a regular modern setting, nothing creative. But i still love this one and my current favorite. More power author, thanks big time for bringing us this novel.

As a person who is knowledgeable about baseball, this story hurts my eyes a little. Even in major league the biggest tournament about baseball, 100m is hard to see. Highschool students have an average speed of 70-80miles. Pros can’t even hit 100m much of a 13 year old kid.

Amazing story! The best I've ever read. Writing quality- Amazing. Barely any grammatical errors. It's easy to read and understand. There's nothing I can complain about. Stability of updates- I recently just read this so I can't say much. But the author is on a hiatus(I think) so I'll just give it 5 stars. Story development- 5/5 again. The story moves along nice. It has the perfect pace and it doesn't skip over anything. Author explains the different plots very well and doesn't leave anything unanswered. Character design- 5/5 but if I could I'd rate it even higher. I've never been more attached to fictional characters in my life. Side characters are amazing they all grow. Jeremy, Jakes brother, is one of my favorites. I started off hating the guy but by the end, it made me wish for a brother like him. The way he grew and interacts with Jake is simply perfection. Don't get me started on the main family. Noah, the twins, Zeke, and the parents are all written beautifully. Finally, the main character, Jake. He grew so much throughout the story. From not interacting with anyone and being scared of people to going to a boy who's able to freely talk to people(albeit not perfectly) was amazing to watch. He's still not perfect and is still far from being 'normal', he grew a lot. But hey, who really is normal? Everyone has their quirks. And that's one thing this story is amazing at showing. World Background- Good. 5/5 for me. Other- Author if you're reading this, I want you to know how much I love this story. I would love for you to come back as soon as possible to continue this story, but I know you probably have things going on in life. I just wanted to let you know that this hands down is the best novel on this app.
