A vampire hunter who is born into The Faith, a cult that preaches purity and hatred for vampires, Luke's newest mission is to capture a half-vampire in his town. He starts working at a bar in New Orleans to get familiar with local nightlife, and there he meets Abel.
Abel, with his bright hazel eyes and dimples that frame his smile, wedges himself in the middle of Luke's mission. He's everything that The Faith hates: he drinks casually, his ears are pierced, and he's not shy about making his affections for Luke clear. His relaxed attitude is like a magnet to Luke.
After wearing Luke down, Abel persuades Luke to hang out at his apartment, where he introduces him to his brother. The sight of him shocks Luke: he's a dead-ringer for the half-vampire he's hunting.
Knowing that Abel's brother is his prey, Luke is torn between fulfilling his mission for The Faith and his fear of losing what he has with Abel.
The Faith is created by Kat Moreno, an eGlobal Creative Publishing signed author.
The Faith is an immaculately crafted story by an author who knows how to masterfully craft a thrilling narrative with vulnerable, heartfelt protagonists. The plot twists are abundant and unforseen, while Luke and Abel's love is more pure and profound than most in the genre. This nuanced LGBT romance allows Luke, our main protagonist, to find himself in a hypocrical world filled with immoral expectations and stigmatizations. This coming-of-age story should unite all fans of the contemporary romance genre because it's hard to root against Luke and Abel's tethered bond in the backdrop of New Orleans where radical forces are actively pushing them apart. I can't wait to see how this story turns out! The cover is incredible.
Wow! First of all, I LOVE that this novel takes place in New Orleans. It can be so difficult to dive into vampire novels after growing up reading the works of Anne Rice, but this author sets the stage for a new kind of Vampire Romance that has me hooked. This novel leans heavily into the myth and lore surrounding Vampires yet feels fresh and modern at the same time. Luke and Abel leave me weak in the knees, protect them at all costs! I can't to see where this story goes. Also, 10/10 cover art!
