Synopsis

One simple boyfriend spell. One ancient book of magic. What could go wrong?

At eighteen, I'm thrown from my normal life into the supernatural world. One moment I'm planning prom and the next, I'm on a one-way bus ride to Hollowheaven's Supernatural Academy where I won't be allowed to see my friends or interact with the rest of the world until I control my power.

Whatever.

This place is weird and I can't help feeling this is a mistake.

But a dare at an initiation goes too far, I get in over my head.

Who knew that I could conjure ghosts?

I can't fall in love with guys who aren't even real— or alive. I've got to figure out a way to get them back into the afterlife before I can't walk away from them. Before I can't stand not to have them in my life.

One thing I'm learning is that magic is never simple.

I loved this story and the way you developed Brene as a character. I liked the way the cast plays off each other to create this world you imagined. The payoff at the end was sweet. Your world building is something I'm striving for in my own writing. Every chapter had me hooked from start to finish making this one awesome read. Well done from one writer to another. The one thing I liked the most was your way of using the leylines to enhance the magic of your characters and as a power conduit for that crazy battle with the wraith. If I had one small suggestion, I would have made Ben and Kiarr semi corporeal when they were summoned in the story. It would've made things simpler for Brene but that's the writer in me seeing your incredible story playing like a movie in my mind. Other than that, no complaints. I enjoyed it and can't wait to reread it in the future.
