Synopsis

There is a sense for greatness.

Some people carry it around like a bad smell. They make us stop on the street, and look their way, whether we wish to or not. Their appearance might be ordinary, but there’s something about them, something beyond the norm. Something that makes you almost wish to bend the knee to them.

Our kings have likely had that something, those that came from nothing but ashes and ruin, in times of trouble and famine, where the hearts of the masses are restless, and they need a cause to bind to. What makes them choose one man over another?

It is my contention that there is a true gravity to such individuals. That progress, or competence, or greatness itself carries a weight. That a man might grow greater in the dark, and whether he wishes it or not, by the sheer gravity of his existence, tigers will make their way towards his door, catching his scent in the wind.

The tigers hide themselves in the forests, in villages unknown, amongst the peasantry, but sooner or later, it does seem, that they are always cast into the light. It requires an immense effort of will to keep them hidden. A man of such a gravity will see themselves risen, without will, to ranks beyond that of the norm – in times of peace, they might rise high indeed. But in times of chaos? When the world is in upheaval, when every piece in up in the air? Then a tiger from the most lowly of starts, with a competency – a density – beyond belief, as if they were a different creature entirely – they might go all the way. They might be the creature that – though a peasant themselves – the peasantry themselves kneel to. They might go further, and make the soldiery kneel, and then even the nobles after them. And a special class, beyond all others, might go even further still, and snatch a crown the head of a king, on a flurry of brilliant victories, on a story so overwhelming it almost might have seemed preordained.

It is those men that we ought to fear, and it those men that we will eternally be at the mercy of. It is those men that we do the honour of addressing as our kings, and our emperors.

The only reason you book isn't popular is because webnovel doesn't reward slow progression stories. I read only a few chapters and I already knew this book should warrant a place in the power ranking. Author is wasting his talent here. When you finish the book, please send it to a publisher. I would order the book online if this ever happens.

Writing this halfway through Volume 1 - Part 2!! Sooo, I'm pretty happy with how the book is going so far! There have been a couple of rewrites, so the quality should be pretty high for a Webnovel! But, better than that, as the book goes on, it gets better (trust me!) Thing start off a little slowly, as we build the world, but once it gets going, it reaaaallly gets going. There's a lot of potential where things are now, so I hope you'll make it to as far as I've written! I've had a lot of fun writing it.

I wish I liked this more the writing quality and release stability is great. The main problem however is that I'm so tired of children mc. They take forever to grow and become interesting. This story just feels so slow and predictable. It' really cliche too, but there are a few things that make me say I wish I liked it. Like the master knight and seeing a bit of character growth.

This novel is definitely among my faves. It's up there with Mech Touch, Chrysalis, Lord of Mysteries, and I became the Pope.I wish I could lock the author up and make him keep writing, but I understand he needs to make a living. Please give this novel a chance.

The greatest story that i have read online. The pace of the story, the caracters, the worldbuilding are perfect. It feels so good to have secondary caracters that have a life and are not just here to be a filler. Great job ! Really worth your time ! I would love a collector paper edition.

I love the character development, their background stories and their future goals explained in detail and grace. I also really like the awesome world building! It’s a great story which I recommend to everyone and I would say you’ll know if you like it if you read up to chapter 33. To the author, thank you for this masterpiece and hope that you’ll continue this story! One question tho, how many chapters do you think this story is going to be?

I have have held off reviewing this book for a long time because I wanted to give prospective readers a clear idea of what to expect with this author. First and foremost, I strongly believe this book is better than 99 percent of what's out there right now on Web Novel and even Amazon Kindle. Granted, it is an extremely slow moving story but the quality of the writing is such that I really don't mind. In the beginning I did skip over a lot of the first battle because it dragged on so long. But the author improves his pacing after this and although it is still a slow read, it remains interesting and at times, edge of your seat exciting. Read this story with patience and you won't regret it! Style: This story is not for those who love quick action and characters that seem to randomly power through one situation after the next. Every volume is carefully built and draws together many strands that culminate in an amazing cinematic level climax. But you have to be patient. Trust me, the reward is worth it! The writing is complex and deep...very deep at times. I have a degree in English, yet I have to slow down at times and chew on what the author is trying to say. That's not because he says it poorly, but because he often speaks metaphorically, which is not easy to understand, but once you do, it is profound. Sometimes you just have to keep reading until you get what the author is trying to say. Characters: This story revolves around Beam who is not in any way a stereotypical web novel character. He has incredible depth and so do the side characters. You may say that at times Beam seems overpowered, but he is not. He fails miserably at times, and is constantly battling himself. But for those that like strong characters, don't worry. Beam comes through time and again in the most spectacular way. His journey to power is natural, with ups and down, failures that mold him into something stronger and oh so powerful. Best character progression I have ever seen! As for the side characters, they too are amazing and painstakingly drawn so that they are meaningful individuals and not just sidekicks we don't care about. Story: The story in simplest terms is Beam"s rise to power. It follows Beam closely but also takes time to hint at bigger things going on in the world. After 1600 chapters, the story is still unpredictable and intriguing with hints of something huge around the corner. World Building: This is a character driven story, but the world building is still there and develops around Beam's journey of self discovery. The world is not as large as some but is broad enough and complex enough to keep you intrigued. Overall, I strongly suggest this story to those who love well written character driven stories that build slowly but still keep you up at night wanting to know what happens next. Patrick Rothfuss should take notes from this author on how to properly build a powerful character from youth...well done, sir!

It’s really unfortunate that this story is not as well known as it should be, everything in this story so far is amazing. I would put this story in my opinion over shadow slave by a good margin, the writing quality is out of this world, and don’t even get me started on the perfekt yet simplistic powersystem, this powersystem is on par for me in balance with how hunterxhunter’s powersystem is.
