Marriages are not a thing for love. They are a binding contract your parents make when you are a child and you will have no say in them. You are left to hope they bargained well. When Delaney Simms was born she was a beautiful baby everyone was sure would grow up to be as beautiful as her mother. So when Lord and Lady Adair approached the new parents to arrange a marriage for their handsome eldest son they were quick to accept. They had money but no title. The Adairs had titles and estates but they were falling into disarray due to lack of funds. It was the perfect arrangement.
The children grew up and the fortunes of their families reversed. While the Adairs grew more and more wealthy, Delaney's parents passed away and she lost everything and had to live with her Aunt and Uncle. Her marriage contract was still binding though so at least she had that for her future. That was until word came that her handsome future husband had been sent to defend the kingdom against a dragon and had returned scarred and angry. Unable to escape her contract, Delaney was forced to marry the man who was now more of a monster. But could she ever learn to love him?
Once they are married she learns there is much more to her scarred husband than meets the eye and she is soon swept into a life of witches, fairies, unicorns, pirates, and more. Delaney has made it clear she will never love her husband and he knows that. He makes a deal with her so they won't have to stay married forever. But what happens if now Delaney is the one to change her mind?
Great story with intriguing characters and plot. Well written and so far well executed. Definitely recommended for any reader. I loved the interactions between characters and that each one is different.
Really intelligently written story with an amazing plot that keeps me turning the pages. Really excited for more content to be uploaded so I can continue to find out what happens.

One of the best storylines I have read on WN since joining. My interests in pirates and involving different nationalities into this story was captivating!! I'm reading the next novel expanding on this storyline 😁🤩❣️ Bravo!! *blowing kisses* to the author for such an ingenious writing style that captured my heart and mind🥰
There are few stories that make me laugh, cry, and occasionally scream at characters or a situation. You learn to love the growth of each character and pray that they learn from their mistakes. Definitely can’t wait to read it again!
I couldn’t put this story down. It was refreshing to have a male lead who wasn’t abusive and then changed. This one was good throughout. Really good story and characters and story.
So raw and beautiful. Easily my favorite right now. The character development is amazing. I'm in love with the main couple and am so sad it ended.
Let me start off by saying I just completed this book. That being said I highly recommend this story. It has been one of the greatest stories I have ever read. It had me feeling all the feels- happiness, sadness, frustration, elation I've cried more than a few times reading it as well as had a grin so wide my face hurt. Truly a book that will leave you on the edge of your seat and not be able to put it down. The entire time I was so invested into the story and the characters they began to feel like my own family. I smiled at their success and cried at their sadness. Truly a well written story that deserves as much attention as it can get. You wont be disappointed. I absolutely love this book and will read it over and over again. Thanks to the author and I can't wait to read the other stories in this series with the hopes that there will be many more to come.

I came across this story earlier this week and I cant lie I binge read the whole thing in 2 days. I couldn't put it down, I found myself smiling and even crying at parts. Definitely one of the best books on here and I am now reading the spin off book 😁
I told myself I wouldn't spend money on this app and that all changed when I found this book! I love the characters, the style of writing, the storyline, everything about it! I was SO excited to find the author had started a sequel to this book and I have been loving it. I love reading Mace and Ilona's continued story! My only regret is that I found these books before they were all completed - this binge-reader has to be satisfied with one chapter a day! But it is worth it 💛
I felt this Princess Bride quote was very fitting to describe this book as well: "Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge... monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles!" It is very well written, and I love how we can really see the main character grow from someone immature and selfish to a true heroine! Seriously, it is one of the best books on this app! Read this book!
Just finished reading this book with my friend. This book is different and more realistic as the main characters have their own flaws and imperfections. I love how the characters develop throughout the book especially Delaney. Once you truly love someone, what matters the most is their heart, not face, wealth or status. I only wish that we can have a bit more of Delaney and Vincent's happy stories as I felt the ending was kind of too rush. Do we have second book about them? I will love to read it. Nevertheless, good job author and thank you for giving us this awesome book 💕
