This is both a work of science fiction and an exploration of the meaning of life, love, literature and art. Brainpower is no longer the main ingredient for being human in this far distant future world. Spirituality, physical balance, and diligence all come together as integrity for Chen Mu, the Card Apprentice. The cards which Chen Mu masters in his own scrappy way, distill all the powers of the cosmos – human and nonhuman – into something that is not a book, not technology, and neither art nor magic, but is these and more. Learn about these strange cards, which can embody everything you might imagine for the future of technology, but also a future beyond technology which promotes the best, and sometimes the worst, from mankind’s past.

Don't worry guys. No Wixoss here, just Kai and Friends ala Cardfight Vanguard. If you like The Charms of Soul Pets, then I don't see why you shouldn't put your stones here. Whatever you do, please at least one in Nine Dragons and the Incredible Cauldron okay. Thanks.
1 star because author think readers are idiots. So he make MC a fking dense stupid moron as if he is mocking the readers. MC won't understand how much talented and powerful he is. In later chapters, people will be awed by his talents, but he doesn't understand what people are saying to him, he thinks people are making mistakes so he don't listen them. He don't take the benifits he would recieve and complain how he is poor. he is so poor that even after earning in millions he won't leave the initial 150 dollar house. he don't neeed comfort, protection or fear of house robbery. He just always remain poor because he spent them on experiment.
Card Disciple Claimed to be the greatest team in the history of the card film industry — “Mu Lei” is born. With even the elites of the academic world unable to decipher these cards’ structure, his powerful cards were able to unnerve even the federation, causing the greatest Card Creators and Card Fighters to grow frantic, triggering open battles and covert maneuvers among various interest groups — all behind the silhouette of Chen Mu. Although he was not the originator of the federation’s unrest, he was definitely the number one reason for continuously escalating it. Through his exceptional intelligence and toughness, he evolved from the weak to the mighty. From a solitary life of survival to his collaboration with his friend to the team’s business of fantasy stories: As card films full of fantastic oddities flowed from Chen Mu’s hands like an unending stream, his own fighting strength rapidly grew. Fame, wealth, beauties, dangers gathered all around from far and near until finally, he became a paragon of inspiration to all Is this the same thing? Since I remember reading a few chapters from myoniyoni translation. If it is, it is a good novel, definitely recommend. Only problem is that it's already picked up by another site. If it is different, then it still looks cool I guess.
Too many info dump. Literally too many. The narrator is trying too hard to get the spotlight. I just want to know what will he do to the mysterious card but in the next moment narrator started explaining the history of the card, the founder, the next important figure for card master, method to make power card, etc. Dude if his action always comes with hellish narration i wonder how is the fight scene. Mc: "He is 3 rank card master! How unlucky!". Narrator kicks in: 3 rank card master is..., the difference from 1 rank card master and..., the famous 3 rank card master in the past is..., the current 3 rank card master is.... 3 rank card master takes a powerful card. Mc : "That card!" Narrator kicks in again: That card is..., its power..., its origin..., the first maker of that card..., the expert who use that card usually.... disadvantage of... advantage of... the difficulty to make that card... in order to make a high quality, an essential item called... Mc feels the danger is approaching, he looks in his surrounding in hope of a way to escape this predicament. Then he found a tall abandoned building. Mc: "I have to hide there." Naturally, narrator kicks in: that building is... , that building is useful for... in the past people used the building to..., the mason name... the mayor who put the first stone... mayor affair in the building got exposed by his... Or something like that. I will not surprised if later in the future the narrator explain potato chip for half of the chapter.
From synopsis ; 'Not a book, not technology, not a magic and not art' Chen mu ; hahaha i just become a card boy! Meanwhile on distant universe Yami Yugi ; i sacrifice Chen Mu to summon Obelisk, Slifer, Ra, and Exodia.
honestly, this novel's concept is decent, but unfortunately porly executed. First ten chapters filled with info dumps, intros about things that never really matter. The characters are not relatable, and seems too 2d and dead. No progress and no growth. The plot execution is messed up. One chapter, you'll be describing about the mc and the next about unrelated side characters. The worst thing about the novel though, is the translator. The story is very difficult to read, bland and boring, partially caused by poor translation. To make it worse, the translator insists using the word 'Allah' as a villain, even with the reader's pointing about it. It's not even the literal translation, and they even put '' between the name. Honestly, have you heard a chinese guy named 'Allah' ? I'm not a religious person, but as a proffesional, you should really be unbiased in translating and stop inciting racism, war etc.
I loved this story when it was being translated elsewhere and I've been waiting for anyone anywhere ro pick up this story. And it was dropped before Qidian became...you know so I can enjoy it without guilt. From what I read before, it is a story that I can recommend to women as well. No harem, no sudden perversion, no objectification of women. I liled the feel of it and it felt like a management story so people who like stories that focus on being the best at acting, singing, cooking etc would like it. It's a must recommend from me.
The author continually feels the need to state that the mc is a street rat and uses it to literally explain any emotion. The world design is decent but the story is just so painfully slow with perspective changes so your reading 2 different painfully slow stories with information dump fillers at the same time.
One of the most annoying novels I've read, if you are a religious person don't even try this specially if you're Muslim you'll find this novel extremely offensive. The novel is basically 5 chapters of explanation while there is maybe half a chapter action and then more info dump.... Sigh this author is not bad but all his works have some annoying **** going on.
Greetings! The story is great! A bit aloof, but we need a distraction from all the wuxia and core slaughter! Thank you translator for your contribution! Cheers!
The story starts out strong, but around chapter 50 it loses the plot, suddenly there are big holes, and it just skip telling us important infomation
Hello everyone, I made a Card Apprentice wikia page. The only problem is that I need help updating and adding information. This is the first wiki page I have made and I love the story a tremendous amount. Please help me with editing this page, all are welcome to help. the URL is listed below. https://the-card-apprentice.fandom.com/wiki/The_Card_Apprentice_Wiki
I enjoy reading it but till chapter 16 the translator purposely mock others religion in it and even put '...' on the name of God to emphasize its mocking.
